These are great tasting. I cook in my instantpot and can!

This is a very clean product and these sprout without a stinky film.

I bought these because I don't like canned chickpeas, and I need them to be gluten free due to an allergy. These are such a good price. I usually soak them over night and then cook them in my pressure cook. They come out perfectly every time. The only downfall is that there have been MULTIPLE occasions in which amazon sent me the chickpea flour and NOT the chickpeas, which was very frustrating. However, amazon always refunded me the money.

I was happy to find these beans, to add several bags in storage to join my other dried beans and lentils. When I open one of these bags, before I cook them I soak the beans for about 6 a couple of times to lower the flatulence potential.When rehydrated, they're as large as those you find in brand-name cans of chickpeas. I cook the whole bag at once in the pressure cooker, which renders them very soft while preserving their delicate flavor. I mix them into salads and make hummus dips with them. Whatever we don't eat in a couple of days we freeze till later; when thawed they still taste as good as when first cooked.

Small black bugs were running around in the bag (about 8 total crawling around that I found). Maybe this is the price of Organic? I wouldn't think so. Insects/bugs were present *before* opening the sealed bag.

These are great strongly suggest you cannot get them in a regular grocery store.
