I bought this light to make a home exposure unit for cyanotypes. I did a ton of research and this light seemed like my best bet. I'm sorry to say it didn't come near the expectations I had for even small exposures.If you're trying to build a home exposure unit for cyanotypes, keep searching or just keep using sunlight. As for plant growing, I got no idea. It's hella bright and hot, I can say that!

It seemed to be working fine for a week or 2, then the ballast start kicking off. I thought am be it was an electrical issue on my end but I tried other things to the same source and fine. I’m in a spot where I can’t have it replaced, so I just have to check on it constantly o make sure it’s still running when it needs to be!

I was sketched out about this one. But. . . . IPOWER won me over again. Great for wide grow rooms.

Performs just as well as some of the much more pricey systems I've seen around. Runs much more quiet and cooler than the Apollo 600 watt system I had gotten a couple years back, which surprised me. Very pleased with the Ipower's HPS bulb. It puts out a little more balanced light spectrum than previous HPS's I've used. I will be ordering another soon

DO NOT BUY!!!! i installed 2 of them and in less then a week, the guy from the cable compagny know my door because there is some interference coming from my house and it block the cable signal for neighbours. this is cheap, get a hight quality one or a classic magnetic ballast not this peace of crap...

absolutely love it! low vibration, low noise, low heat, compared to my mag and adjustable power. The hood is cheaply made but works I guess the bulb got replacedothe than that I got 4-5 grow out of it still works mint
