L’Oréal Paris Age Perfect Radiant Satin Blush with Camellia Oil, Amber

I am not a blush wearer. Never have been. Mostly because I have pale skin and felt like I could never get the right color for some reason. It was always too pigmented and I’d end up looking like a clown. It doesn’t mean I didn’t want to wear it. I would notice it on other people and love how natural and truly flattering it looked on them. But yeah, I could never get the look I was going after…..or at least one I was comfortable with. Until now.This color is gorgeous. (Soft Mauve) The pigmentation is perfect. From a light application that gives a subtle flush to the skin that looks like that healthy glow I’ve been trying to achieve, it’s also buildable to some serious color that still looks quite natural. Which is a rare thing for me when it comes to my relationship with blush.It’s a powder that has a silky smooth texture that lasts all day. Even the light application that I prefer hung around all day whether applied over a tinted sunscreen or a foundation.Truly designed for more mature skin but the whole line is just so beautifully wearable for any age. My daughters (17 & 30….they’re the makeup wearers of the 3) are also impressed with it. I really hope they expand on this Age Perfect line. More colors, maybe a bronzer/contour, loose powders and some highlighters.

This is the most beautiful, light blush I have ever used. It is so pretty. Will buy again.

AMBER:Feels a little dry to the touch but applies creamier than it feels. I took off one star just because I could go a bit darker in color. Rosewood is a sheer wash of color. It's pretty but too light if you have a tan. If this color works for you in the winter, it will not show up on you in the summer if you get a tan no matter how much you use. I knew Peony wouldn't even show up on my skin because it swatches as a barely there color and if you have a tan, the color will not show (but a little glow may). I wanted it just to add shimmer to my skin (as a highlighter). It's satin just as stated in the name. It leaves a natural glow to the skin (no glitter whatsoever). I can see why this was marketed to women around 40 and over. The color is sheer but natural looking and the glow makes this blush light diffusing. I will buy a darker color... may even buy two deeper colors. Overall, it's a nice product if you like natural looking makeup.AMBER:Adding to the review, I ordered Amber. It's has a lot more shimmer than Rosewood. It has micro-shimmer where Rosewood only has a mild glow without shimmer. The shimmer is fine in texture and size... nothing that would emphasize texture. I don't like glitter on my face and this doesn't bother me at all. Amber is deep enough to use as a bronzer but I prefer a matte bronzer. I will use a light hand to use this for blush because the color is sheer but it's quite deep. If you like a shimmery blush, you will like this. I like this formula and the micro-shimmer is little (fine) enough for skin 40 and over. The mirror is a nice size. I will buy one more color.

I try new makeup on the regular. I loved the color of rosewood online and gave it a try. It’s very sheer and not even buildable to full solid color. Super dry. I have very fair skin and this does nothing. I also purchased the mauve. It has gold glitter flecks throughout the blush and has a similar effect, barely any payoff for color. If I put blush on I want to look like I took the time to do it. They fade within an hour if applying. These are a hard pass for me. Cheaper brands like Essence and even Ulta house brand perform better than this. Swatched (built up 3 times) are rosewood on top and mauved underneath. Mauved had more color payoff but the gold glitter isn’t flattering and I found it all over my face. Rated 2/10.

I really like this product very much. My only quarrel is that I am not particularly dark-skinned and this was the only one that I could use. This is in fact a compliment because I like the product so much that I would have liked to have more than one shade.It's very easy to apply. It can be done on bare skin - I use it over powder. It has a mild shimmer that is attractive even on my rather oily skin - I just powder it down.

I really like this. I have fair skin that is pretty dry on the cheek area so I hadn’t been wearing blush at all for years. I got the mauve and I really like it. It’s a nice sheer color that gives a not quite rosy cheek, which was exactly what I wanted, subtle. It doesn’t look dry or flake off either. It’s really quite nice for aging skin (I’m 55). I’ll definitely buy again.

Face Blush was lighter in color than I thought it would be. Didn't streak when put on my face. Last all day until I took it off.
