Magnesium - miracle supplement for me
I discovered Magnesium Malate through an online forum for heart problems. About 2 months ago I woke up with a pounding heart beat and BP through the roof. I thought I was dying. I practiced deep breathing and my heart rate eventually went down. I finally went to the doctor. The news was not good, weight too high and BP too high. I don't want to be on diabetic meds so we agreed I'm going to maintain a lower calorie diet, less sugar and more wholesome foods.Being overweight, high BP and chronic pain from a frozen shoulder that had ran it's course for 2 years was grinding me down to the dirt. I still don't have complete ROM with my shoulder but the pain (which was on the scale of a 9) had dissipated. But the damage to my adrenals, my heart and my muscular skeletal system was still there. I wanted to workout to lose excess weight but I was too darn sore and tired to do so.I started getting panic attacks in public. On one occasion I started sweating and getting the shakes. I had no idea what was going on. I thought maybe I'm hypoglycemic and borderline diabetic but this is just crazy. I had my husband grab some deli meat from the store and a glass of tea. I ate the meat and tea and started to feel better. But these attacks were happening at least two times a week. I thought this is ridiculous, I cannot live this way. So I started taking snacks with me to town.So I decided to try magnesium malate. Within 3 days I felt a difference. (now to be fair I did start using Wellesse liquid glucosamine along with it, so maybe that helps a lot too). My heart palpitations stopped. Panic attacks gone. Sleeping throughout the night. My BP is almost back down to normal and my joint pain is down from a 9 to about a 2. I can live with that for now. I'm giving myself a few days to get my strength back and I'm going to start working out again. I don't want to be one of those seniors who's always complaining about their aches and pains and their doctor being the person they see the most besides their family.I did exhaustive research online about my symptoms and educating myself about WHY I was feeling this way. It's amazing how the little things can completely change the game.I was taking baking soda three times a day with water for GERT. Each tsp has about 1250 milligrams of sodium. I didn't realize it. The GERT was from eating lousy foods, stress and other factors. I stopped the baking soda. Eliminating the lousy foods got rid of the GERT. I cut out most caffeine. I only drink 1 cup of coffee a day, one soda for lunch and the rest of the day water. Once I figured out what I was doing wrong, simply by eliminating the offending items, I'm back on track again.I'm not there yet, and I have a long way to go. This is what I'm doing.1. Drink plenty of fresh water daily.2. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables.3. Eliminate most sugar, desserts, fast food and processed foods (which are really high in salt).4. Take my magnesium three times a day. I set the alarm on my phone to remind me to take my vitamins or I'd forget.5. Exercise daily. Just do something. I have a timer on my computer. When 20 minutes has passed I get up and do something. Wash a few dishes, comb my hair, clean around the house, something.6. Take my Wellesse Glucosamine daily. This is how I know the magnesium is working. Yesterday I took 3 pills at once. (Big mistake because they don't absorb that well taking them all at once. I needed a continual flow of magnesium to help me). By the time I came home from town my knee hurt and I could feel my heart doing the pitter patter. Woke up twice last night from slight heart palps. So taking the right way from now on, spacing the pills out (which I feel is extremely important in this supplement) and I'm back on track again.I apologize for the long rant, but if I can help one person who's experiencing what I'm experiencing (I'm a female in my mid 50's BTW) then my review will be not be in vain.

These DO work! However you will need a pill crusher
I have tried almost everything for FM with little to no success. The meds that did work for pain relief I could not continue as they were damaging my organs. I am extremely sensitive to most meds and so is my asthma - so anything that depresses the lungs/breathing is not good. After having seen ten doctors, going through most of my savings and trying this, that and the other, I finally came across these pills.Let me say the recommended dosage is three with each meal. However, I always start with half a pill, then work up to what works. If one and a half or even two pills does the job, I don't need three. That being said, you are going to need a pill crusher - these pills are huge, and even cut in half they don't always go down smoothly. I am willing to work around this because these pills do work, so crushing them up and putting them in applesauce or whatever is not that big of a deal to be out of pain.I noticed a decrease in pain in the first 48 hours of taking them. My pain is normally in the 8-10 range, sometimes over and its all I can think about which makes everything else a major chore and ends up on another 'to do' list when I can. So far these pills have not taken the pain away completely, put has bumped it down about 4-5 notches on the pain scale. It not only helps with pain, but 'evens' me out. That is how I used to be before I got FM. It helps tone down the sensitive stimuli response that gets cranked up during a flare. (noise, lights, voices, etc.)I am also taking Now Liquid Vitamin D-3 and a kosher multivitamin. I am also looking into a complex B vitamin, and D-Ribose for energy. I am introducing things slowly as I don't want to overload my system and it's impossible to know what one thing works when you have too much going on.Like anyone who suffers with an ailment, I continue more years of research in trying to get to the bottom of the issue. What I have discovered (being my own guinea pig) is that there are major deficiencies within the make-up of the cell that need to be supplemented correctly with the right mix. We cannot get that through our food source since most soil is nutrient-depleted, and GMO food is what is contributing (if not the main source) to a country full of sick people. If you think this is a joke, check out the countries that have banned Monsantos (GMO frankenfood headquarters), including Japan who recently cancelled their wheat supply with the US due to tainted GMO's. I have cut out every known food problem as well-caffeine, pop, coffee, gluten, etc, though it is not always possible to remain faithful to this, it is an exercise in discipline; and I do notice a difference in how I feel after eating 'bad foods.'Everyone is different and needs to find what works for them. I highly suggest trying this product because if you are like me, you have nothing to lose and have tried everything else.

My go-to form of magnesium
Magnesium malate is a highly bioavailable form of magnesium that's very good for helping alkalize the body, soothing muscle aches and 300 other things that magnesium helps with in the chemistry of the body. It helps me relax and lower my blood pressure. It is chelated with malic acid, a nutrient found in fruits that is very good for you.One of my two favorite forms of magnesium. Magnesium malate is a little more economical. My other favorite is magnesium taurate. I frequently take one tablet of each when I get my daily magnesium.
