Rothenberger Tee Extractor Set for 1/2", 5/8", 7/8", 1-1/8" Pipes with Double Prism Support and Ground Collaring Hooks - 4-Pack - 22124

I had a large radiant heating job that needed custom manifolds made, I figured this tool would pay for it self in one job. I really wanted a t drill, but could not justify the $3000 ++ price tag to get one. The directions are a joke, it consists of a couple pictures and then they show redoing the holes with the rothenberger expander at the end. Crap??? Do I need the expander?? I did do the job without it, I am not sure why they show it in the picture. The first copper pipe I tried to put a dimple in the tool broke. I called rothenberger and was told they could not help me, they can only talk to the wholesaler. I then contacted the wholesaler, who was awesome, they sent out a new set that day, when I receive it, I need to send the other one back. The tool did work with out the cam pincer, I was able to make the manifolds, but have some complaints. I was using 1 1/2 type L copper, it was very tough to get the tee made without heating the pipe. It would be nice if you could keep the tool in place without it walking all over the pipe. It does deform the pipe but I guess you can buy pipe supports for $50 each to fix that. It is a well made tool, but the price is quite steep for what you get, it seams like you need to buy more stuff to get it work right. I am writing this not to complain, but to to put some info out there, I could not find any reviews on the tool when I went to buy it.
