UPDATE - almost 5 years later
2017 August update; Updating my review, simply out of gratitude to the best piece of luggage I have ever owned. In fact, it is so good that I am writing a second review although I very rarely write reviews.I have lived in 5 different countries and visited many more, so I have some experience. This piece fits so much more than its size, AND I can rest assured that when packed to the brink I am still within standard weight restrictions of most, if not all, airlines. I know myself well enough to know that if my luggage is bigger I will fill it with more stuff and go over weight restrictions. This piece of luggage that I bought in 2013 is still functioning perfectly. It is showing some wear, but nothing that hinders me from using it again, and again. If anything I am stressing over whether to buy another one for the future now, just in case the day comes when it is no longer being manufactured...I sincerely could not recommend a product more.2013; A truly great piece of luggage. It is sturdy, strong, very well made. I love that it has two main compartments as opposed to one, it makes for easier, more practical and organized packing. It rolls easily, and it is good looking!I highly recommend this brand and this particular piece.I travel quite a lot, I bought it in 2013 so it has some signs of wear but nothing unexpected.I never leave reviews but I felt like I had to on this one since I've been so pleased with it in every way. Good luck!

Handsome bag for compact travelers, very easy to move around
Top Line:Good: I just finished a 10-day trip through the Pacific Northwest, and this bag held up perfectly. The dimensions are awesome--the bag is thin enough to fit in small places and tall enough to pack plenty away. The exterior straps really lock the expanded size down once closed, and the sturdy handles are great for slinging this bag around while loading into your car. Also impressed with bag's weight--super light for how sturdy it is!Bad: With the great dimensions comes a drawback: stability. Being tall and skinny, a little bump or skip will cause this bag to wobble or even fall will rolling. If you're a fast mover or have a tendency to bump into things, you might reconsider.Other: It's probably slightly on the smaller size of what you can get away with as a carry on, so cheaters may want to pick something bigger. There's a cool little pocket on the outside for stashing your keys, wallet, etc. while dealing with TSA. Unfortunately, it's pretty useless for anything of size when the main interior of bag is full (there's no room left for the pocket to expand).

Put to the test.
Sized perfectly for carry on luggage and it's pretty sturdy to be so light weight. I've used it for bus and plane trips and it has held up great! The color is awesome and really stands out! Compartments on inside are nice but when bag is completely filled, the small ones on the outside are all but useless. It is lined with plastic though, so it makes great place to put any liquid items. The handle, straps, and zippers are very strong... I yanked on them quite a bit. lol. Overall a great bag for the money. Buy it.4/11/18Still my go to bag for travel. Not a zipper, strap, or wheel broken. Yup... buy it!10/12/20Finally got small tear and scuffed a bit after some rough airport baggage handling. (Looks like they dragged on the ground.) Only surface wear though so kinda I want another one but I dont REALLY need it. I would put a pic up but I just put it in storage.

It passes most things with flying colors, but can be a challenge fitting in overhead cabin
I'm a journalist and I fly a lot. I bought this lugguage because I was looking for the following:1) Must have zipper in front for easy access to travel documents and liquids - PASS. Front zipper up top makes it easy for me to get out my travel documents like papers, passport, cellphone etc.2) Must be able to store between 3-5 days worth of clothes - PASS. I've traveled to New York, New Orleans, Haiti and many other places with this bag. I've store up to 5 full changes of clothes and an extra set of shoes in this bag.3) Must fit in overhead cabin - DEPENDS ON LUCK. I don't usually stuff this bag pregnant, so it usually fits. But I have had to, upon occasion, had to turn this bag sideways in the overhead cabin because it was too long. Can be a troublesome issue but staff brarely notice this problem. Issue will only arise when on board.4) Should look good as I stay mostly in hotel suites as a representative of my organization - PASS. People love my bag. It's affordable and looks good and classy. I also prefer non-hard case luggage that can break.5) Compartments are a plus - The interior of this luggage is divided down the middle at the zip, with a netted compartment on one side and an open compartment on the other with the usual luggage straps. This is great because I can separate out stuff, the net means i don't have to quickly slam my luggage close like I do when there's no net but just lock straps.6) MUST be hardy - PASS. Over 10 trips later, it isn't scuffed like hard case luggages do. I love that it isn't scratched and still looks as good as new.

Really well-made and well thought-out
I bought this piece of luggage for my husband to take on vacation. I was looking for something long enough to stick his tennis rackets in so he could check them, but not so big it would tip us over into scary-overcharge land. This was great. It has two distinctive halves so it's easy to organize. It's soft-sided and quite light, but it has enough structure not to bulge if not packed carefully. This sounds like a silly detail, but we really appreciated the two extra handles- one on top, one on the long side, and two in front. This meant it was real easy to grab when loading into a car, etc.It rolled well and didn't tip forward when standing vertical (this is a roller, not a spinner, so it tips backward when it's being wheeled). They call it a wheeled duffel, but I would call it a suitcase because it's not just one giant bag inside.Meanwhile, I was stuck with our old rolling duffel, which bulges, tips over and is a pain to move. Next year, we're getting another of these!
