This thing worked really well for me, the instructions were Ted confusing but I figured it out. And it was a perfect fit for my PT cruiser.

There are 2 different 12 VDC outlets
There are 2 different 12 VDC outlets in my 09 Dodge ram 3500, a left and a right. Each one has a different plug style ( basically the same but mirrored ), this one was for the right side, but I needed a left one, luckily it was very easy to modify the connector by simply cutting of a tab on this outlet and it works well.

It works even if you think you not using it right.
At first you'll probably think it's too big for the socket, I can assure you it isn't. It is a tight fit but it will get the job done with a little force. I was able to remove the outlet underneath my radio and the one located in the center console. Quick heads up, the outlet that comes with the tool is a replacement for the center console outlet not the one under the radio.
