Take it from someone who has owned and used several of the other types of Christmas tree watering systems over the years. You know the ones that use gravity feed syphon principle to fill the tree and comes with the flimsy plastic water containers inside a paper thin card board box and you have to keep a certain water level in the box plus position the box and the watering tube certain way to get them to work. Well no more. The HoHoHoH2O gets rid of all that. The HoHoHoH2o is an electronically controlled fully automatic Christmas tree watering system. It has a solid hard plastic water tank which has a pump, a float inside the tank to sense the water level and a control panel to operate it . The tank is concealed in a thick sturdy card board Christmas gift box. The water levels sensor for the tree stand is an electronic 2 prong metal sensor. Each sensor is a slightly different length. You place the sensor vertically in the tree stand a few inches above the bottom of the stand or at what ever water level you want in the stand. Secure it with long green velcro strap which comes with it. It also comes with a plastic drip tray that sits on top of the tank when filling it to protect it from drips when filling. The water tube that goes from the box to the tree stand is approximately 3 ft long and is covered with plastic green spiral wrap. You position the gift box where you want under the tree, fill the 2 1/2 gal tank with water and plug it in and turn it on. When the water level in the tree stand comes in contact with both sensors the control board shuts off the water pump inside the tank. When the water level drops and one of the sensors is no longer contacting the water, the pump switches back on filling the tree until both sensor come in contact with the the water and shuts the pump off. When the level in the tank gets low the float switch will turn on either a red blinking light which you can see through a small hole in the top of the box or it can emit beeping sound to let you know the water needs to be refilled, your choice. I have mine set to make a beeping sound this way I don't have to remember to check for the light. It will just start beeping. To coin a phrase..You just set it and for get it. It will tell you when you need to fill the tank. The HoHoHoH2o automatic tree watering system may be priced higher than the rest but it is worth every penny. It has sturdy plastic water tank with a larger screw on fill cap with a rubber seal, it is well designed, it plug into the wall ( no batteries) and will last for years. It will save your back. You no longer will have to crawl under your tree, knocking off and breaking ornaments, just to check and fill the water every couple of days. Customer service is outstanding. Which now a days is impossible to find. The drip tray that came with mine was damaged in shipping. I contacted the seller on a Monday. He shipped a new tray the next day (Tuesday) and had it in my hand 2 days later, Thursday. If you are looking for an automatic tree watering system that will last for many Christmases to come, look no further. The HoHoHoH2o is it.

I bought this automatic waterer because we were going out of town after I set up the Christmas tree and because my Christmas tree was so fat I had difficulty getting under it to add water. It was easy to set up and works perfectly. I had no issues with it leaking like some of the cheaper models I’ve read about. I’ve added water to the automatic water twice since setting it up about 6 weeks ago - it holds a lot of water. It also looks cute under the tree! When my son was over for Christmas, he tried to pick it up and hand it out as a present. Note: Like some other reviewers have stated, for some reason the company puts the Velcro strip, that holds the sensor to the tree, inside the water container. Make sure to look for it. It makes set-up a lot easier!

This has literally saved us from issues watering the tree. Grandkids love a huge tree but two old people have a diffisult time getting down to water. This makes it easy and keeps the tree fresh without any fuss.

Product received as described with secure packaging and speedy delivery. It worked exactly as advertised. We traveled for six days over the holidays. Our 9' Fraser Fir remained watered and fresh during our absence, plus there was still water in the ample reservoir upon our return. The plastic spill tray had some minor damage upon receipt. Though it did not impact the operation of the unit, I called customer service for a replacement. I was more than impressed with their responsiveness. The representative voluntarily offered me either a replacement for the part when it would be restocked after the holidays or an adjustment on the total price. I was more than delighted with the resolution. I honestly researched a number of products and read countless reviews before deciding on this one. It was a bit more expensive than cheaper ones which rely only on siphoning action, but well worth the extra dollars. Highly recommend!

I enjoy live Christmas trees but loath watering them. I have tried other systems but have had many messes. This product takes the guesswork out of watering and gives you peace of mind knowing the tree is watered. It was very easy to set up, and I love the red light on the reindeer to tell you when it needs water. Thankfully, I never got to the point where the light or audible alarm went off, but I love these features. A dry Christmas tree is an extreme fire hazard, and this product ensured our tree was kept watered all month.

Very easy to set up. If possible, I recommend you set it up before you untie the branches to let them down. Regardless, easy to set the height of the sensor. Worked perfectly. My only complaint, the red low water warning light did not line up with the hole in the box top. I never let it get that low to have it go on, so maybe it’s bright enough to see it regardless. Just a very minor pet peeve. I recommend this, no spilled water on the floor and no branches in my eye trying to reach the stand to fill it.

I balked at the price tag, but after using this product this year, I wish I'd bought one sooner. The absolute bane of my existence during the Christmas season is watering the tree. I love my wife, but she insists on a live tree and a ton of decorations on and below the tree, making it difficult to water a thirsty Christmas tree. This product changed my life...highly recommended. It seems well made, is simple to use, and I did not have a single overflow. It takes some adjusting of the probe height initially to ensure you get enough water in your stand, but after initial install, you're done reaching under the tree. The reservoir is large enough, only required one refill this year. Do yourself a favor, spend the extra money...you'll be happier for it.

Every year we routinely forget to water our tree in the first week and it always goes dry. This product has worked like a charm and the tree is still alive and well and being watered all on its own. It’s the little things like this that makes me happy lol wish it was cheaper but if it lasts for years I’ll be ok with it.

This product is great! This is the best my Christmas tree has ever done and with the least amount of hassle. Way less needles dropping and never asking the question “did you water the tree?” Highly recommended.

I recommend this product.We always have a 13-foot Christmas tree that we cut down on the first weekend of December. These trees are so large they require a lot of watering. I am so happy with the HO HO HO H2O watering system. It was easy to set up and use, taking away all the stress and worry about the tree not having enough water.

Simple to set up, just read the instructions if you're a little confused. Unfortunately, it doesn't come with a bow as depicted. To be fair, the price does seem a little high considering how simple the unit is - things that would be nice to have included at this price point would be some sort of bluetooth connectivity to monitor the resevoir and tree water levels.
