The whistles arrived and they make a very strong, shrill whistle sound. Normally I am not a fan of loud, shrill noises - but I make an exception for coach/referee type whistles. And there are many possible uses. Soccer coach/referee. Basketball coach/referee. Football coach/referee. Crossing guard practice. To ward off aggressive strangers. Even creating mild disturbances in public places. Maybe you have another, completely original idea in mind.These whistles have certainly satiated my desire for a product that metal coaching whistles are designed to accommodate.

I ordered a four pack of metal whistles with red lanyards, but I received a two pack with black lanyards. The whistles arent really that loud, either. HIGHLY disappointed in this product.

These seem like pretty good whistles and the lifetime warrantee is a major plus. Unfortunately for the seller, these whistles got a severe workout the first use. I was using them to signal riders of a water slide when it was good to go up the slide, and when it was good to come down. We did 598 rides that day and the whistle was blown at least once for each ride. About 5 -10% of the time, I needed to blow the whistle more than once, as the ball would not easily bellow inside the chamber. I think the ball needs tiny grooves to allow it to chirp easier. Other than needing to occasionally reinforce a bad blast, the whistle performed adequate under circumstances. Under a lighter workload, I believe the user would be very happy with this whistle, I was just hoping it required slightly less effort as the use is extreme and gets exhausting after a few hundred blasts.

These whistles were to replace a Police whistle that I purchased over 25 years ago. It was made of Brass with a Very Heavy Silver plating over it. It was larger then these whistles and you didnt see the seems where the metal parts came together. It had to be replaced only because the silver plating started to peel. Since the New whistles are made of stainless steel I shouldnt have a problem. New whistles have slightly higher pitch to them but are still very loud which helps with traffic control. Mouth piece on old whistle was larger and smoother. New whistles have the side seems on lower part of mouth piece where metal comes together making it somewhat uncomfortable if you have to hold it in your mouth for a while. As they say you get what you pay for.These 4 new whistles cost about what I paid for my old whistle alone. The UP side is that the New whistles came with a lifetime replacement Guarantee. I hope I dont have to use the guararntee anytime soon. Company contact was VERY GOOD!!! They even checked to make sure I got my order and again to see if I was satisfied and if I wasnt, what they could do to fix problem. You dont see many companies doing that especially with a small order. I was VERY SURPRISED & HAPPY that they actually took the time to follow up even with a small order. You just dont see that any more unless youre spending Thousands of Dollars. GOOD JOB!!!

Ordered 2 packs of 4 and got 6 loose whistles in a box with two empty packages. Called Amazon and they told me to order another 4 pack and then return 2 of the whistles. Did that and now just need to get around to returning the other 2. Delivery issues aside the whistle just doesn't work that well. It doesn't work as well as a couple solid plastic whistles I had from last year. I expected a metal whistle to be a bit larger and more substantial but both older plastic whistles I have are bigger, blow better, and sound fuller. Would not buy these again

I purchased these whistles as dog recall whistles and the dogs respond to them very well. I particularly appreciate that pitch and volume are easy to control unlike most coach whistles which simply don't work unless you use a sharp burst of air. Highly recommend this versatile whistle!

The sound is perfect. Not too loud, but definitely loud enough. I also like that the lanyard is light and the material is very soft. Often times, I can't wear whistles around my neck because the material is scratchy, so I'm really glad that I found this whistle.

I couldn`t find good whistles in the nearby retail stores. They all sell some baloney. My son advised me to search for whistles on the Internet. I thought it was a strange idea but when I bought these whistles I realized I was wrong. They are excellent!
