Children liked it
I had this book sent to grandchildren. They had left their nice hardbound edition here by accident after Thanksgiving. I couldn't mail it and get it to them as fast as Amazon could, and probably the price of the paperback was less than postage would have been, not to mention the wonderful convenience for me not having to go to the post office during the Christmas rush. They will get their original one bacK eventually. Grandson was just starting to read chapter books and was reading one or two chapters per night to his little sister. Both seemed to be quite engaged in the story. I think they only missed one night this way.

Pure. Nostalgia.
I am so elated / excited that I have found this particular Magic Treehouse book! So much nostalgia growing up as a kid reading these books - this in particular being my favorite. An easy read and good for little ones inerested in reading.

Good replacement to iPad
I do not have a good reading habit and that’s the one of the things I regret growing up. I have two boys and I am hoping I can at least introduce reading to them so they can pick it up as a habit. For my 7 year old boy, iPad has been his primary companion when he has free time. He mentioned he wants this book one day and I was skeptical at first but it is only 5 bucks so I bought it to him without too much expectation. This book totally changed him at least for the past week. He reads it every night after dinner and before bed which is his normal “iPad” hour. I even asked him to explain to me what the story about and he did that with enthusiasm. I am glad I bought it and I plan to buy more.

Great. Book
I read this with a group of students. I bought each student their own book to keep. They loved the book. They said they are all reading it again over winter break.

Christmas in Camelot (Magic Treehouse #29)
My [...] year old son absolutely loved this series. I had to read it to him, though. When I would stop reading for bedtime he would be so excited to know what came next he would always beg for just one more chapter. We are now rereading the books (he just turned 7). As his reading skills improve, he is beginning to pick out words and phrases as I read to himThis book was on of the Merlin series and had a more magical component to it. There are Christmas references but it is definitely not a real "Christmas" story. It can be read any time of the year. The story is about a brother and sister Jack and Annie. They have a series of clues to get to quest which is given to them by the magician Merlin. You can read this book alone, but I would recommend reading some of the earlier ones in the series to get to know the characters.
