THE WALKING DEAD COMPLETE SEASONS 1-9 (41 DISC BUNDLED DVD SET)

We were a huge fan of TWD for the first and second seasons and when we found it out it went for 11, we were elated. So we popped the cork and bought this set knowing we'd have to by the last 2 season separately. Didn't matter we were thrilled.So Seasons 1 & 2 AWESOME. Some of the best TV ever.Seasons 3-4.... okay, good, interesting.....Still watching mostly still loving it.Then came Season 5.... Okay, someone killed all the writers and let the zombies write the scripts (because they are brain dead).Season 6? I want to be a zombie so I never have to watch this show again.Season 7 - I want the world to go to zombies so no one ever has to watch this show again.Honestly, the writing is pathetic. A 6 year old could do better. And it all comes down to the main character: Rick. In the beginning he did some iffy things but only a few times and when he started losing his mind, I got that. No problem.But then it all went to hell. The decisions were ridiculous. I don't want to spoil it.... but I can't because you can't spoil something that is already bad. Sure Rick, we'll start a war with someone we know nothing about. We gotta do this to eat and this nice friendly Jesus dude is cool. Never mind the total creepy leader they have. We are going to war because a woman was powerful and made the deal. (You want to see powerful women? Look at Carol (Seasons 2,3,& 4) and Michoone, even Sascha and Rosita are better.) I loved the Maggie character but her scene was just laughable. But we have to have a strong woman and the other 3 or 4 are not bitchy enough so lets get this girl. It just unravels from that point. How bad does it unravel? Well when they need to get Maggie to a Dr, they run into the Negan people (the people they started the war with who seem to control the whole fricken country.) What does Rick do? "We'll just go around them. I'm sure they don't have enough people to guard all the roads." You see Rick when you start a war with someone, you need to know who you are fighting. But it's okay cause we got lots and lots of guns and we got RPGs... but we never use them cuz.... I forgot my homework? Then we run around like little kids in the forest lost and scared. And then comes the big bad Negan. Sadist extraordinaire. But that's not enough. We need more humiliation and sadistic humour. Oh yea and after he metaphorically plows Ricks' back 40, Rick says sure, here are all our guns. Never mind we had at least 5 days to prepare to put up a defense or just run. Bug out. But no, we are going to give them our guns because I enjoyed getting my butt smacked and well just take every thing. How about hiding some? No cuz, "If cause if Rick's new boyfriend catches us we'll surely die." Pathetic.And lets talk about Carol. One of the best characters on the show... bad ass all the way. Until now... Here's what they did to her: She was a battered wife. She was emancipated by a zombie, so that's great. Now she comes out of her shell and starting living and growing and grow she does. One of the best of the best... until Morgan fills her head with "all life is scacred, even that psychotic psycho who says he's going to kill us because he's got to kill us." And guess what she does? She runs back into her little shell because life is too hard and I don't want to kill anyone. Yes, she's the one who stuck a knife in Lori's ear in an attempt to save the group, but life is too hard now and "I just want to get away from you people." What do you call a person who is freed from bondage, grows and matures into one of the strongest people I've seen portrayed in a long time and then runs back into bondage?We all watch these shows with "what would I do" at every big turning point. And sometimes the characters go with us and sometime they don't, but as long as the decisions make some sort of sense it's okay and we keep watching.But not after Season 5. Save your money, Season 4 was the last watchable and they go down from there.

I bought these from media market used and they were all in great shape, season 9 was missing a disc and they were quick and happy to send me a brand new season 9 set! I highly suggest buying from them!!

Not sure who is to blame for so many issues regarding this DVD set. While the packaging appears new and fresh the DVDs have visible scratches. Some are scratched so bad that episodes will cut out or fail to play, likely due to corrupted dvd data. In other cases I was able to clean the discs and watch reliably. Other than that the first two season DVDs have horrible compression resulting in some scenes being very blocky and jaggy looking. If any of these issue might bother you, you might want to wait for a better release of the series or try your luck buying individual season discs instead of a complete set. For me I feel a bit ripped off with what I received.

My son brought one of the walking dead movies to my house to watch.and I got hooked on them so I had to get the set.great movies

Bought this "new" but it came in a taped up like someone just bought them all separate, and then wrapped them in packing tape. It was fishy to say the least but then I started watching them and some of the episodes wouldn't even play. Most of season one and about half of season 2 didn't load episodes. The rest seem to work fine strangely enough. So they're kinda iffy to get a good set.
