To make things easier for you to control, and ensure your electricity costs are kept low, our towel rails come with a 7 day programmable timer with built-in room thermostat and an energy saving PTC heating element, to give you one of the most cost-effective towel rail on the market. The timer allows you to set not only the times you'd like the rail to be switched on, but also the temperature you want the room to be at during those time periods. Every time period can have a different temperature. This means you can set the timer once, and forget about the rail - no need to keep worrying if you've switched it off. The towel rail is designed to operate at a temperature of around 65-70 degrees C using a high specification PTC heating element which is IP64 rated and CE certified. The element will operate at full power until the towel warmer reaches its working temperature, input power is then reduced in order to maintain this temperature, making it more cost effective to run than a standard element. The rail is made from low carbon steel, plated with 40 microns of copper, 15 microns of bright nickel and then a minimum of 60 microns of chrome plating for a superior finish and corrosion resistance. It is filled with a glycol solution to prevent rusting and freezing.
