Works great!
Basically a bleach bath but less complicated. You mix 2 ingredients and put it in your unwanted color. It works but beware that it will bleach your hair to a certain degree. My blond got blonder and my black hair around the roots actually turned brown. The directions did say water/bleach mixture will be enough to remove what I have but I chose to use the 20 developer. The semi color pretty much disappeared as I was applying the mixture, so probably overkill but it worked like a charm. Try a small amount water mixture just if you’re unsure. If it’s not working, make another mixture with the developer.

Good weak bleach product, removed black box dye.
It is bleach, if you didnt know. I bought this because of that and the fact that others were said to smell BAD. It did it's job. I wasn't too happy with the test strip, as it didnt lift at all, but I managed to get a lot of the black box dye off my head with minimal damage to my hair. Included is a hair mask, too, so that helped. The smell just smelled like bleach. It doesn't lift aggressively, as its like 20 vol developer. I left it for an hour and my roots lifted maybe 5 shades (black to a light chestnut, maybe). My dyed hair lifted to a lighter color of the red I had underneath it. There are some spots that didnt process as well as others, so you'd need to go over them again if you want a uniformed look. I dont recommend using like 30 vol bleach after using this. It seems like a lot on the hair. Also, I recommend buying a different hair mask than the one provided. Personally, I dislike the hair mask's smell more than the bleach.

Didn’t work - use color oops instead.
Didn’t work at all!! I have boxed semi-permanent dark brown hair that I wanted to pull out and dye a medium/ashy brown for summer. I bought two boxes of this. I ran out 3/4 the way and had to use a box of COLOR OOPS I had laying around (my hair is to my boobs and it’s petty thin). THE COLOR OOPS worked and this product did not. It only lightened my roots to an orangey blond 😱 buying three boxes of colors oops and having them overnighted. Hate having to go to work like this tomorrow 😡

This worked so well
This stuff is amazing. I used it to remove purple direct dye that I had placed over a faded blue on level 10 hair. I had previously tried the vitamin C treatment because I saw it worked for many others, not me though. My hair was still pretty vivid in the middle and faded on the bottom. It took out every bit of color and left me with the level 10 hair I started with. I had about 3 inches of regrowth and it bleached my roots to a level 9. I only left it on for 15 minutes total. This will absolutely bleach your natural hair color if you get it on it so make sure you apply it with a brush to only the parts you wish to remove color from. This is bleach, make no mistake. If you are wanting to remove your color and bleach your roots apply it to your roots first for about 5-10 minutes depending on how dark your hair is. After 5-10 minutes put it on your lengths. Make sure you apply it evenly and don't miss any spots. Check your hair every couple minutes. I would not wait longer then 5 minutes to check because even though it was only 20 volume developer it lifted my color fast. It bleached everything evenly and the mask afterwards makes your hair feel much softer. I will use this again but they should absolutely have it somewhere on the box that this is bleach and that it will lift your natural color. That is why I took off a star.

A less powerful bleach
Got this after it was recommended to me but it was a fail. Tbh I wouldn’t have used it if I hadn’t of already purchased it by the time I realized it was really just bleach. It definitely lightened the red and bleached some of my roots which I can’t complain about but it feels much more damaged than if I would have just used color oops like I usually do.

It worked!!
I have red hair and have been dying it green. The red does not like the green. It's hard to keep up with it. This made everything so easy. I can touch up the spots where the mint is fading into gold. I can do my roots. And I'm not sure if it's because of the color I've gone with (lots of iris green and a couple of dots of aquamarine artic fox = mint) but I can just do the roots and the few golden strands and then redye my head and it looks even and nice. It bleached the spots I put it on but I did not do it all over so I don't know how resistant the ends will be to losing the green. I added a photo of when I did the roots and right after I re-dyed it.I was surprised to get 3 sets of directions in the box and didn't know which to pick. I used the 20% volume that comes in the box and some conditioner I already had. I saw some people say they left it on for longer than the amount it recommended on the directions so I did go a little over on the time but not as long as some of the reviewers. I think it recommended 20 mins and reviewers said they did an hour but I think I did 30-45 mins. My hair was straw after but just like with a normal bleach job and needed lots of moisture the next week. I'll use it again and back off on the time and see how it does. I need to find a good balance between fried and white and less damaged but too much red. This product did a better job of it than the regular bleach jobs I've tried in the past so I am calling it a winner.
