Tried the hard wire thing, FAIL. I found these and they work great and auto shut off after 6 hours, bonus.

These were very nice to have and easy to use for Christmas lights. I bought the two pack so I didn’t have to worry about plugging in and unplugging the Christmas lights everyday. The lights came on automatically right before sunset and shut off automatically around 11:30 pm. I used them with an outlet that was under a covered porch so they were not exposed to the elements. They worked perfectly for what I wanted. Very happy with them!

These sense ambient light and activate at dusk. They then keep the lights on for a pre set time(and I presume remain on till dawn). We used them to control outdoor enter meant lights and did not wait around to see them turn off. The lights were off, are desired upon going outside, in the morning.I bought a pair in 2018 and one failed after three years. OK in my opinion, given the exposure to the elements! . I bought another pair and now have an extra.I am very satisfied with the product!

Like the sensor mechanism. Comes on at dusk and turns off six (6) hours later. Has been very dependable during the Christmas decoration season. Hopefully we will find use for this product all year round. Great value for the price.Nice not to go outside during cold weather to turn light off and on. In past years many times our lights were left on all night. No longer a problem or concern for our utility bill.

Very happy with products ease of use and dependability. Would have reviewed early but as soon as I got the company email for review I was diverted to sign into my amazon account very time consuming for every thing I buy maybe someone could come up with a different approach. Thnx again.

Beware that this product is not an outdoor version of their wi-fi MyTouchSmart products. It is not switchable with your phone and it is not programmable. Should sell for far less than it does.

We installed several of these with outside cafe lights and the timer devices have worked brilliantly. I love not having to work about setting times that may need to be changed with seasons, weather, etc. This is a brilliant solution.

I had about dozen of those crummy timers where you have to pull out the little timer pieces to set your on/off. They're a pain in the butt to set and I was looking for alternate solution for Christmas lighting. These timers are perfect! They do exactly as they say. Plug in your Christmas lights to this thing, it turns on when it gets dusk and it's on for 6 hours. Perfect for 1 season so far! Great product!
