Mayer Barbecue HEIZA Square Fire Basket for Garden MFK-310 Outdoor Brazier

I cannot praise this bbq highly enough. It's sturdy construction and ease of assembly impressed us immediately. Aesthetically it is perfect. Our basic requirement was for an incinerator for garden refuse as it is difficult to make the usual trips to the recycling centre during lockdown. That it now doubles as a very efficient barbecue is a great bonus. It is easy to clean, neat and the quality of construction is faultless. I recommend it to anyone both as a barbecue and garden incinerator.

Arrived quickly, easy to assemble and very sturdy. Have had great BBQ s and log fires since it arrived. I would suggest two slight improvements. The charcoal try would work better slightly higher up nearer the grill rack and the spaces between each bar could do with being nearer as small particles get blown through. We are going to weld some iron mess around the outside to still allow 360 heat but reduce the amount being blown out. We might raise the BBQ plate too. It has been the talking points with neighbours and several have asked how much and where they can buy. Our terracotta fire is now banished, this gives heat to everyone, especially now we need to be 2m apart

Liked how it folds away with minimal storage space, and how it was a quick and easy assembly.Customer service (from provider in Germany) is also very helpful.

Assembled well, looks good but on one use the coating bubbled up. Unsatisfactory and I see it is no longer available on Amazon!

Very happy with the fire pit. Bought for fathers 50th and was well recieved. Its nice that it can operate as both a BBQ/grill and a more traditional fire pit. Was easy to assemble and came with all necessary tools you need to put it together.Good purchase would recommend

The paint burnt off the first time used it. Not safe at all. Waste of money

I ordered this combo fire pit/grill because it had many positive reviews.My husband easily assembled it and it is very heavy and sturdy.However, there were a few problems (see photos) : a bit of paint was chipped off of one handle ; there were no predrilled holes for one of the handles, and the grate is rusting after only one use. I contacted the seller, saying it was too inconvenient to disassemble the item and return, but that I would be happy with a partial refund. They did refund me £10. I was satisfied with that.Having used the fire pit once, I would point out one big flaw in the design:There is a bottom grate for hot ash to fall through, and a tray underneath to catch the hot ash.I think a pit with solid bottom, or a larger tray, would be a better choice , as the hot ashe jumps out of the shallow, close fitting bottom tray and onto the lawn / patio. Also, the very open design of the pit overall makes for lots of oxygen feeding the flames, so the fire burns up firelogs and wood really fast. You'll need a ton of firewood!Big plus, though: Being able to use this fire pit as a grill. It might come in handier as a grill than as a firepit for me.
