Bought this for my husband to wear to an Octoberfest party. Along with tall white socks, he fit tight in.

Worked great for Halloween costume

The reviews are all correct. This is not a "real" hat (which would be expensive) nor is it a cheap party hat. Somewhere in between. It's not the kind of thing that you would wear for years, but it looks good for the moment - am I right? See photo!

Used for an Oktoberfest themed weekend, it looked better than anticipated for the price. Received many compliments as no one else had one like it. The green was a nice standout.

The first Image is an exaggeration at best.Be sure you look at the second Image on the product page. It felt like a bit of a bait and switch, until I went back to look at the product page Images and saw the second image. That second image matched what I actually received. A cheap shiny imitation felt party favor hat that didn't have the suede-like finish as written in the product copy. It was nothing even remotely like the first image would lead you to believe it would be. Buyer beware.

Hat were just as expected, arrived on time, and, for the price, were perfect. We used to them to wear to a Sound of Music Movie Sing-a-Long performance at Seattle's 5th Avenue Theater and they worked great. As these are "mens" hats so they are a little roomy for females, but not that bad - at least they're weren't not tight. It was fun to have a little bit of costume for the performance. You know the great lines from that beloved movie, Sound of Music, right?""A captain and 7 children, what's so fearsome about that?"**"Oh, love them Captain, love them all!"**"Darling, have you heard of a delightful little thing called boarding school?"

The hat is of basic costume quality, with no real complaints, except that after spending far too long to find just the right hat, This hat which appears to be a very dark olive or hunter green is actually a very bright royal green, like something peter pan or an irish character would wear.

If you need a hat for Octoberfest, this one is great. Would not recommend for a daily hat though, not really made for that purpose. But great once a year.
