Great taste, filling, and convenient
We have not tried every flavor but the oatmeal is very satisfying as a start to the day. The ability to just pour hot water in the bag and eat from it is convenient. Portion sized based on total calories are in line with similar products. There are not many vegan choices in this market so this is a good resource for other vegan campers or those who just want to have stable food in case of emergency.

Best packaged backpacking meals I’ve ever eaten
I enjoy tasty, high-quality food. That being said, I wasn’t expecting much from a meal in a pouch. I was absolutely delighted to be wrong. These meals are excellent, especially when compared to other backpacking meals currently on the market. They are easy to prepare, the ingredients are recognizable, the sodium levels aren’t lethal, and the taste is fantastic. This “emergency box” also offers solid discount compared to buying the individual packages on Amazon or at REI. The meals themselves are also gluten free and basically vegetarian (the ingredients are vegetarian, but the product is made in a facility that hands fish). Would recommend hands down.

good food, not enough calories and too much sugar
I have tried all the flavors in the vegan variety, the food is pretty tasty and the ingredients are all natural (I could do without nutritional yeast which some people might have a problem with - I don't). However, the 3 meals per day (breakfast, lunch and dinner) total add up to less than 1300 calories. This is not enough for a petite woman, let alone an average size man. My second issue is with breakfasts - it has a total of 27 grams of sugar, including 11 g of added sugar. that added sugar is completely unnecessary for a brand that prides itself on being healthful food.

Haven't had a reason to use it yet ... thankfully.
This is positioned with our emergency go-bags. I like that it works for us as whole-food vegans.

So delicious it's hard to save
Got this for camping and it was so good I keep eating it instead of saving it for disaster. Will need more for an emergency supply 🤣

Unexpected short expiry date
I received my box today and was excited to open it. However I found out that the expiry date of oatmeal breakfasts (5 bags) is less than 2 years which is rather short.

It's 2020. You need this.
Bought this for a disaster kit because it's easier to keep around than a bunch of canned food. The box is smaller than I thought but the packaging is normal size. I bought one of the meals separately to try it. It's just okay; maybe the other meals are better. If there's a disaster and I have food, I won't care.
