Carburetor Carb Rebuild Kit Replacement for Stihl Walbro 029 310 039 044 046 MS270 MS280 MS290 MS290 MS341 MS361 MS390 441 FS500 Chainsaw

The alignment holes for the diaphragm were punched on the opposite sides from where they should be for my ms290. A couple slices with a razor was all it needed to make it fit right. Still recommend if you’re handy enough to handle that tiny hurdle

The spring was alot longer than the original. The needle valve didn't have a rubber tip. The diaphragm was crimped in the gasket backwards.

I decided to clean and rebuild the Walbro carburetor on a non-functioning Stihl MS029 chainsaw. I disassembled the carburetor and compared the kit parts to the original parts. They were an exact fit. I cleaned the carb with a (Harbor Freight) ultrasonic cleaner and installed the kit parts. The chainsaw fired right up after a few pulls.

This carb kit was a low price, but the diaphragm was assembled upside down. A quality control issue.

I should have read the other reviews before purchasing the diaphragm was backwards. Alignment holes are in the wrong place.They did take it back no problem.

Great price, but the rubber diaphragm has to be oriented with metal disc a certain way and disc was upside down. Luckily rubber is big enough to flip over and still seal even though it doesnt fit carb body perfectly. Had to flip diaphragm around and punch a couple of my own alignment holes. If your machine is not idling well, mine was a chainsaw, this rubber diaphragm is probably the culprit, it gets stiff over time, should be very pliable. Way cheaper to rebuild your carb then buy a new one. Search a video online, you can rebuild it yourself!

Pros: Item came on time and packaged fairly well.Cons:like other reviews, the rubber diaphragm is backwards and unusable. The float needle is all metal. The tip that seats inside the “bowl” is not rubber like OEM ones are.Had to reuse some of the old parts because of the above issues.Chainsaw seems to work fine at the moment however, I haven’t had a chance to put it to the test and start cutti g with it as of yet.
