Great versatility that fit my needs perfectly
I was looking for a table needlework frame and decided to give this one a try when it came up as a Warehouse Deal. I didn't want the typical clamp style frame, but rather one that has arms that you rest your needlework frame on. This one seemed to be everything I was looking for.I've been using this frame for almost a month now and just love it. It fits my main requirements beautifully. It just barely fits on top of my corner style computer desk. I push it back when I need the front of the desk to do paperwork, and pull it forward when I'm ready to continue stitching. Because of the height of the desk top, folding the only cross bar down so that it rests on the frame feet supports gives me the perfect stability and working height that I need when stitching. This frame is beautifully constructed with smooth wood components, wood knobs for ease in adjusting, and plenty of adjustment options with holes on the upper side arms, the cross bar, and the extension arms. I fiddled around with it quite a bit to get just the perfect setup for me.I don't know how well it work as a lap frame since I don't intend to use it that way. For those using it as a lap frame, the distance between the feet supports is 19.75".If you use it as a table frame, the width without knobs is 21" and with knobs its 22.25" wide. The only suggested improvement would be if it also came with a shorter cross bar so that it would take up less space as a table frame. Other than that, I love it as it is.When I decided to finally write a review on this frame, I was dismayed to see that it is not currently available. I hope that it comes back again some day for those stitchers who have the same needs as I do. I just count my blessings that I was able to purchase this one when I did.

great to hold larger scroll frames
I recently purchased a 29 inch scroll frame for a project. Unfortunately the frame didn't have anything to help it stand so I had to purchase this stand. I don't regret it in the slightest, the stand is such a great help for keeping my projects elevated for easier work. The only reason I removed a star is because the joints don't hold for long. I have to adjust it and tighten the bolts every once in a while which can be a hastle.

Easy assembly and works like a charm!
I've been agonizing about buying a lap stand for my cross stitch for over a month. As most crafters, I usually have more than one project going at a time, so I knew I wanted one that didn't have a built in frame.I finally got tired of finding weird ways to prop my work up while watching TV and ordered this one.It arrived quickly. My husband and I like to joke that we're assembly pros, so to me, the instructions were great. It took me, maybe, 5 minutes to assemble.I tested it out with my "small" project and it works great! Now, I'm excited to try it with my project that wrapped on the 36 inch frame.Game changer! And, if plain wood doesn't do it for you, I'm sure you can easily paint it.

Parts not built correctly
The media could not be loaded. I ordered two of the same stands and as another customer already stated The stand comes with carriage bolts, which have a square neck, but the holes in the stand are round, therefore you cannot get the bolts tight enough for the stand to function properly. Also my stand came without the openings at the bottom and missing screws.

Not as sturdy as I'd like for the price.
While the instructions were less than helpful (very much like IKEA instructions in that there were no words other than what the parts were called), overall construction was relatively easy to put together. My chief complaints are that the screws frequently slip loose, forcing me to either choose stability and lose the ability to adjust the height of the frame, or choose the ability to adjust the frame and have it constantly move on me. It also does not fit my scroll frame particularly well, but my scroll frame is rather old and an odd length. A possible improvement that I may add later is drilling another hole onto the pieces holding my hoop so that I can move my hoop up a bit higher to avoid hunching my shoulders (which was the main reason I bought this frame). It also does not work particularly well for really small hoops less than about 5". Honestly, I would not have paid nearly $50 for this had I known it wouldn't hold its position very well.

Just what I was looking for!
Easy to assemble. Study wood construction - no flimsy thin wood. Solid knobs and easy to tighten/loosen. All sanded smoothly. The adjustable arms allow for nearly endless positions. My scroll frame fits perfectly. 😍

Birthday Present
This item is a good value for your money, it's stable once you are situated. It was easy to assemble, comfortable to use and per my Daughter it performs as expected. She says better than expected.

Cross Stitch Stand
Item worked for what I needed but I continually had to keep adjusting the tension. Liked that the arma that hold the cross stitch frame would move from side to side because the bolts were loose. Other stands have the arms stationary and you move the piece.

Faulty
The lower arms of the frame were not cut out and could not be fitted to the rest of the frame. Seller expected that I would pay the cost of return circa £20 to the US with no guarantee of a refund. Shall not be using this seller again

Easy to put together and works great for cross stitching in my recliner chair. I've been looking for something like this for a while but didn't think it existed. Love it

Perfect Stand as long as you do an alteration!
Love this stand, can use on the couch, or in bed, perfect for me. The only issue I found is that you need to do an alteration to it in order to get the bolts to tighten properly. The stand comes with carriage bolts, which have a square neck, but the holes in the stand are round, therefore you cannot get the bolts tight enough for the stand to function properly. My husband was able to chisel out the holes a little bit so the carriage bolts would sink into the wood, making it so that I can tighten it properly. So other than that, I love it! Would be 5 stars if it was ready to use out the box. Thank goodness for handy husbands!

Most versatile embroidery stand!
Fantastic quality product. Easy to assemble and very sturdy once built. It's the perfect size for me to use over my lap on the lounge or set up at a table. Multiple different ways to adjust to suit so many positions and many sizes of work (scroll frames, hoops etc).Well worth the $$.
