Well made for the price sturdy.

I needed to replace some rotting posts on my porch / deck. This jack post was the perfect solution and it allowed me to safely replace the posts. I didn't permanently mount a board to the plates, but placed one board on the bottom and one board on top which provided excellent support. I could have built some temporary posts, but this jack post was much stronger and I was actually surprised how inexpensive it is. Never heard of a jack post until I started researching how to replace a deck post. Glad I found this because it made my job so much easier.

These worked for temporary supports but the base and top plates should be thicker and better fitting at the base as the post slides around a bit when tightening. Really they are 3-1/2 stars.

All worked exactly as described.

Very easy to use and easy to adjust

I used this to lift and hold the sinking steps on my deck while I secured them. Very easy to setup, use, and take down. For the price, this was a good investment.

These are tuff. I am using them in my crawlspace to add support to my floor.They are very strong and easy to set up.
