Highly Detailed
It's so detailed, that not only is everything which you can easily see carefully constructed, but even the scalemail on the knight's butt is etched. The figure comes well-packaged inside of its box. Its base, the knight itself, and the pen are all slotted into snug, plastic foam slots. It arrived in perfect shape, was a gift, and the person I got it for quite liked it. (I like it a lot too, but knight decor just isn't my thing.)The included pen looks OK—don't get me wrong, here. It's just not as impressive as the figure holding it. This is simply because it's only a matching silver color, and that's about it. There's no high detail to it, and it's very shiny. As such, I think that other pens would look even better with it. For instance, ones that are molded to look like literal swords, or are simply fancier, silver pens, made out of more expensive material such as metal instead of resin. I think that'd kick the whole look up a notch. But, I got this figure on sale for about $12 and fancy pens can run that much or more, so I'm very pleased with how it looks as-is.One thing to be aware of: the figure also comes with a small bottle of glue, because the knight isn't attached to its base for shipping purposes. The knight's feet slot into holes on its base, and the purchaser's supposed to put the included glue into those holes to keep his feet in there. If glue isn't used, then he'll fall right over; it is NOT secure without using the glue.

A great gift! Just make sure you glue it properly upright otherwise wobbly...
Pen is good quality. The figure comes wobbly because the feet don't exactly fit snug. Get some better glue and I would hold him upright with the pen and glue him that way tot he base so that he isn't wobbly and the pen does not slide off. After that it's all smooth sailing. It's a great gift. My boss loved it! Heavy and worth it!

Admittedly Overpriced, Irrationally Cool and Worthwhile
Ok, it's a little too expensive for what it is, I admit it.Yet I love it. It's solid and sturdy; it looks fantastic on my desk at work; the pen itself is functional and gets used all the time (because it's hard to miss on this stand). And if you are looking at this now, tempted, I can only say--however irrationally--this is awesome and you deserve it. You are drawn to it (or not) because you enjoy medieval things or fantasy or the fact that this pen is presented to you by a knight (or you don't care). It looks better in person, too, and it gets consistent admiring comments from folks who see it.I liked it so much, I gave it as a gift to my friend. Highly recommended.

Best Christmas gift for the guy who has everything
My son absolutely loved this—it was his favorite Christmas gift. Product is just as pictured. You have to glue the guy to the base but they provide the glue and it worked well. Not sure why it couldn’t be shipped already glued together. Great gift idea!

Not very well made
Not very well made for the price you are paying. Does not look like the pictures, the paint is uneven on the base and especially on the knight. Looks cool holding the pen though and the pen itself is a good quality ball point pen.

NO GLUE
The glue you sent with this product had no glue inside bottle. Now the Knight wont even hold the pen because its not mounted to the base properly. Not really Happy with this product.

This was a gift
Gave it to a friend for their birthday. She put all kinds of things in its hands, so that the knight would present it to her like she is royalty. Great gift. A tiny bit bigger than I thought it would be but she loved it

Cool pen holder! Assembly was messy.
This pen holder is so cool and it is such a great conversation piece. They sent glue for the buyer to glue the knight into the base. This step is messy and you have to be careful not to get the glue all over the base. That being said, once glued, it is a very sturdy and solid pen holder and you cannot tell that it did not come as one piece. I am happy with this purchase!
