A quick read that every beginning angler should read. This book helped me identify rookie mistakes, and gave me a game plan for future outings.

The book is informative for a beginner. I only gave it 3 stars because I could not believe that it is printed in China. Have Americans forgotten how to everything?

I just starting getting into fishing this year. This book as well as the seasonal bass patterns book knocked or out of the park. I fish urban ponds around town and catch a bass almost daily. The more ya learn the more ya catch.

One can learn a lot from reading how to books... and all books in general when one is considering trying something new to you. I took several points from this read and will go out and try something that most people have done all their lives and were taught by someone else. This book gives one a good baseline on the subject and I would recommend it to anyone considering taking up freshwater fishing. I not saying it's a complete guide but it covers or introduces one to the sport/hobby.

Very informative for beginners explain in easy terms to understand. He makes fishing sound easy but you have to get out there and fish.?
