I'm gonna need a bigger desk now.
In case Amazon lumps this review with other similar models by monoprice, this review is for model number DT-5BT. These speakers fit the bill of what I was looking for. I wanted two-way speakers with a bass port, at least 25 watts per channel, decent frequency response, and bluetooth. They look nice too. I put them on some desktop speaker stands I found on Amazon, and the sound blows me away for computer speakers. There is lots of bass at higher volume levels, and the highs are amazing. I wish they weren't plastic, and had a grill of some sort, as well as separate bass and treble controls, but I also appreciate the minimalist design with just the volume knob, and the price was affordable. I am posting a picture of my computer setup so you can see how huge these speakers are in relation to the other items in the picture.. The laptop shown is 14", and the monitor to the left is 23". The speaker stands are about 4" tall. I have never heard of the Monoprice brand, but I'm very happy with their product so far, but I'm going to need a bigger desk now. I would recommend these speakers if you want good sound for computer speakers that won't break the bank.

Exactly what I was looking for
I work from home and wanted a bluetooth speaker that would fill my room with rich, full sound at low volume. I mostly listen to rock, blues/soul, indie, and acoustic. Fantastic audio quality at this price point - I am amazed at the bass they can produce without a subwoofer. Only thing that would make these better is treble/bass adjustments and a remote for volume control.

Great bang for the buck!
These little speakers sound good with my bookshelf A/V system.

Great sound for the price.
Easy to set up, I do wish you could swap channels between Bluetooth and Rear input but understand why it is that.Sound is a little bass heavy but is a great unit if you don't have a dedicated subwoofer.

almost great speakers (5.25" version)
Pros and cons (5.25" version):Pros: Good enough bass not to need a subwoofer; clear, decent mid and high range; great stereo imaging if you place them far enough apart and you sit in the optimal spot, surprisingly high volume output for a mere 50 watts rms. (they are louder than my 200 watt rms Logitec Z623 speakers!!!).Cons: 1) Because these are made out of plastic rather than wood they sound tinny compared to my other similarly powered audio systems that use wood cases (i.e., Philips MCD708, or my JBL bookshelf speakers). I wish Monoprice built a wooden version of this even if it cost more $ ).2) The lack of a protective grill makes me VERY nervous every time my cats jump up on my refridgerator where I have these. I'd pay more for a grill protector.3) The volume dial is all black with no numbers or easy to see indicator dot so its hard to always adjust it to my favorite volume. Please fix this in future versions. Overall assessment - good compromise for people without space for a dedicated amp and wooden speakers, but not quite good enough for audiophiles. However, if you hook this up to a pc with a good audio dsp plug in you might be able to get a bit more warmth out of these speakers since i noticed that fiddling around with my mp3 player's equalizer helped a little bit (but not enough). Also, kudos to Monoprice for allowing me to cancel my first order and re-order these since I originally bought a different model which wouldn't work for me.
