This is a high quality test kit from Germany, which tests pH, GH and KH (in °dH), NH4/NH3, NO2, NO3, PO4, and Fe (in ppm*), and Cl. Easy to read color comparison charts are provided for every test, with the exception of Cl (of which ANY color equals dead fish).Kudos to Amazon for correctly indicating there is NO test for Cu, although the "sera aqua-test" booklet includes this test as part of the "standard" test kit. The user needs to pay close attention to the instructions within the "sera aqua-test" booklet: 1) The instructions are printed in 6 point type and cover few pages; 2) Pay attention! The sample size varies; 3) The English instructions are only four pages long.The instructions contain little information beyond running the individual tests - For example, there is no information I've found on how to open the reagent bottle; however, there is a handy prick in the bottle's cap (see my additional pictures with the product).Since this is a 'universal' German product, the manual's instructions are repeated in eighteen (18) different languages. Again, not much useful information in the manual (e.g. support URLs, contacts, "Sera Online Backup"**, etc) beyond test execution. There is some superfluous information in the manual, such as instructions for running a Cu test (NOT included) and a color chart for C02 concentration (a test classified as a specialty test for separate purchase by the "sera aqua-test" booklet).In conclusion, I recommend this product as a much better and comprehensive test kit than its closet competitor, the API Freshwater Master Test Kit and its problematic NO3 reagent #2. The advantage of the API product being oriented to American clientele is a plus if you are state-side. *ppm is equivalent to mg/l (do the math! :-))**"Sera Online Backup" - Nothing found in the usual search engines regarding this service, other than the mention of this service from various retailers, including Amazon. So much easier to use than api testers. Vials are bigger and don't have to worry about spilling the chemicals on yourself.Very accurate. I will only use these testers from now on.

This Master kit by Sera is great. Easy to read and accurate as any other kit I have used in the Hobbyist category. The only thing I did to make it better is laminate the instructions and color cards.

We had high hopes, gave this brand a shot, use to use the Nutra kit, and now will again. First the test vials are so bad, made of un tempered glass, break shatter if it falls over even.. 2ND and more important, the kit gives such HUGE ranges, for grass, plants, etc im sure its fine but not aquarium hobbists. From PH 7.0 to 8.0 there is only one middle range color at 7.5, your guessing at anything in between. Hard to see if your making headway until your half a range one way or the other.. the kit is sold with a manual like a small newspaper for a dozen languages so you need to mark your pages and hunt each time. Im returning as not as advertised as from 7.0 to 7.5 i have no idea where i am and from 7.5 to over 8 i have no idea until i get there... anyway your money... this is just our issues...

Gets a four star in easy to read due to the chlorine test. Sera website lab shows several levels of chlorine concentration however it’s just a yes or no test.

Very east to read. The PO4 and NO3 test are the best ones I've used. Tested against API, JBL and Seachem test kits.

This is a very nicely set up and comprehensive test, which came well packaged in a nice case, very well organized with instructions in as many languages as I have ever seen in one little booklet.The whole kit is set up to make the testing process very easy.Although the instruction book is printed in a very tiny font which made it difficult for both of us, who are in the over-50-age-group, to read.Also, because the English instructions are squished in among the other instructions, and because the manual also included instruction and result tables for tests that are not included in the kit [CO2 and magnesium], they were kind of cryptic and not exactly easy to figure out.What I mean to say is that while the instructions about how to do the test were fairly easy to follow, the interpretation of results sections were harder to understand.For instance, our pond's water tested out with a pH of 8.5, but there was some cryptic information about pH interacting with carbonate that made it hard to understand what the results meant.I initially said that the test was missing the 2 reagents for copper and calcium, but according to the questions above, and the above reviews, they are not supposed to be included.They also state that it is because they are only useful for marine/seawater, but this is contradictory to the information included in the manual, which says that both high and low copper levels are very important to both freshwater and marine life and that either high or low levels can be toxic to said organisms.Additionally, both the copper and calcium tests are listed in the manual in the section about included tests, not in the separate section for on included tests like CO2 and magnesium, where it specifically says that they are not included.

Bonne malette qui contient la plupart des tests essentiels. Une réelle différence avec les tests bandelettes. Petit bémol sur le test pH qui aurait mérité plus de précision (échelle de 0,5). Livraison en avance, emballage soigné.

Totalement conforme à mes attentes, un peu long pour faire tous les tests, mais c'est de la chimie...plus long qu'une bandelette, mais bien plus précis
