Does it come with alternate instructions
First off this is a great pump and if you buy at AutoZone will cost you double. The difficulty in placing this in a 06 Tundra is not for the faint at heart. Removal of Manifold is something Toyota did not factor in and cost people a lot of money. The gasket was a perfect fit and was molded to the shape of the pumps surface. I did not have to use anything to hold it in place. The down side to this was the wiring harness which does not fit or include a tundra 06 connector. You have to cut the old one off. Do not use the connectors included... solder the wires and use shrink tubing to secure. This does fit into the original fan assembly which may need to be replaced if the blades gum up on the inside. I used a razor and trimmed the plastic off and sanded with a very fine grit to get to the original black casing.During start up it now sounds like the air us a cold intake system like a K&N not a sealed system which is more of a growl. Over all instructions could use major improvements and include wire harness is a must when it is sold for a specific make a model.

Pleased
Bought this for my 2000 Chevy Impala 3.4L. I was very pleased with the fact that the product comes with a new gasket and new screws. The screws are necessary because the unit DOES NOT come with the plastic cap. You must RE-USE the plastic cap from the original. When I went to go remove the original plastic cap (this is the cap that the hoses plug onto) the screws were so corroded and rusted that I was forced to cut them off. Good thing the new pump comes with replacement screws which saved a lot of aggravation looking for screws that would fit. The wiring harness is a direct fit, and I had the pump installed and working in no time. Pump does what it is suppose to do... I would have given 5 stars but the description doesn't mention anything about reusing the original cap.... For the price the unit SHOULD come with a replacement cap....

overheats and blows fuses
My secondary air injection pump was not working. I bought a 2002 GMC Sonoma about 2 months ago so I don't know how long the pump had been bad. Before replacing the pump I changed everything on the secondary air injection system. I changed the hoses, pump relay, solenoid valve, solenoid, intake pipe, and check valve. After all this was replaced I did voltage checks and made sure the solenoid valve was working properly. I made sure the new check valve was working properly so that no water would back feed into the pump. I used a 1 inch air compressor filter on the pump intake so that no dirt or anything else that could lock up the pump could get inside. I installed the pump and it was very noisy. It seemed to be doing the job. I drove my truck for a few blocks to test it and when I returned home it was no longer working. I did some checks and it blew the fuse. Replaced the fuse and tried it again and it blew the fuse again within a few minutes. I removed the hoses to test the pump to see if the air had no where to go and it blew the fuse again. I checked the pump and it was so 🔥 you couldn't touch it. I'm sending the pump back. Now I have to get an acdelco pump since this brand was no good.. I do not recommended this product.

Air pump motor replacement
I ordered this to fix a check engine light. The code told me it was the air pump system and from what I could tell, everyone recommended replacement of the air pump. The air pump is electric and my car is over 10 years old (2000 firebird formula). This product is just the electric motor, and does not include the plastic pump housing. It was perfect as it saved me money not having to buy the whole thing. I pulled the old one out and sat at the kitchen table and took it apart and replaced the electric motor. Took no more than 15-20 minutes and the pump was being put back in the car. It was a perfect match for the one I removed. The price couldn't be beat by autozone or advance auto, and of course, free shipping.

Dorman 306-010
The engine check light on my 2002 Z-28 Camaro was on for a long time. I borrowed my sons OBD II scanner, which indicated that the air pump needed to be replaced. I installed this Dorman 306-010 air pump today, and it worked great. Although you need to transfer the plastic cover from your old air pump onto the new air pump, it was not a big deal (note: you'll need a Torx head bit to remove the screws securing the plastic cover). I am extremely satisfied, especially since the price was so reasonable. The check engine light was no longer there (Note: For me, I disconnect the negative battery cable before I work on my car, and reconnected the battery cable when I'm done. By disconnecting the battery cable, most times it will reset the computer when repairs are done).

You get what you pay for!
If I could give this zero stars I would! There are so many things to dislike about this pump. You have to reuse part of your old one to make it work. The wire is half the size of the original in gauge and length. Sorry but this pump is best suited for a small car or truck, not a Tundra or Sequoia. I used the included instructions but to no avail. I should have gone with my gut and not try to use this garbage! It didn’t work for me and it’s too late to return. Take my advice, I am not exaggerating, if you own a Tundra or Sequoia don’t buy this pump, you’ll only be wasting your time and money.

Works for Toyota/Lexus 4.7L motors
Had the dreaded P0418 and P2445 code on my 2005 Lexus GX470 which seems to be common in the 2005+ ULEV 4.7 Toyota motors found in the Tundra, Sequoia, LX470, GX470, V8 4runners. Read online about not going with the Toyota/Lexus mark up and replacing the $400+ Toyota pump with the GM part and this worked wonderfully. (It's the exact same pump, just take the old wire harness from the old pump and put it on the new one. Part is probably from a common distributor) Thank you to fellow owners at Tundra Solutions and the guys on Club Lexus for knowledge sharing. Saved $300+ on the part to pass onto my mechanic for install cost. No more codes, my old pump failed at 115k.

Not a complete unit.
Works great but does ot come with the impeller pump housing. So if your housing is cracked like mine your in trouble. You can not buy the housing seperatly.I had to make my pump housing work even though it was damaged. Otherwise I would have to buy completely new pump for $450 from GM.
