Fan of this
I am a vanilla snob. I love fresh vanilla and have tried nearly every mainstream brand and sourced directly from farms. This vanilla powder is one of the best tasting and has no alcohol after flavor or added sugar. I have been to vanilla farms in Hawaii and had some of the freshest and best vanilla products and this one is very close in flavor and quality.

Pure vanilla
Just a little sprinkle of this on my yogurt is all I need. I love it. :-) No fillers, just vanilla bean.

Will definitely be buying more
Stumbled across this brand when I was looking up organic cacao. Since then I have also ordered their Matcha, Cocotropic (superfood elixir), and Himalayan pink salt. Very impressed with the quality this brand offers.Since my family has cut out all processed sugar. I have been using the vanilla powder in our coffee and homemade ice cream. I love that it doesn’t have that fake vanilla taste or smell. I was surprised how small the bag was however I learned very quickly a little goes a long way with this powder.

Strong As A Vanilla Bean
Well, I'm impressed. A day or so after I ordered this product, I received an email from the seller expressing their hope that I enjoy their product and to let them know if I had any questions or concerns. I appreciate when sellers do that. It is very classy and inspires confidence. This is not a very large package, but the vanilla has a very large flavor. I've never tried vanilla powder before. Since I love vanilla but don't drink alcohol, I thought this would be a good thing to try. It is very flavorful and aromatic. I put a tiny bit on my tongue to taste and the flavor is very strong. Be aware, however, that raw vanilla bean is not like the manufactured stuff with sugar and alcohol. It has a hint of bitterness or tang, similar to what you might experience if you ate very dark chocolate with a low sugar content or cacao nibs. To me, this is appealing. But be prepared that this is the real thing. It has a powerful vanilla bean finish, which is woody in character. As recommended, I tried it in my coffee. It really does impart a rich vanilla flavor, which is addictive. I haven't tried it in baked goods yet, but look forward to doing so. I especially wanted it so I could add vanilla flavoring to uncooked bars. I couldn't use the vanilla suspension unless the alcohol was cooked off. Now I can have all of the flavor and none of the alcohol in (un)baked goods.

Odorless, Tasteless, Gritty... and GROSSLY Overpriced to Boot!
I am having a very hard time understanding all of the glowing, positive reviews on this product. I will consider them suspect at best, now, since my experience with this "Wild Vanilla Powder" has has been just the opposite.First, I swore I was ordering the 4 oz size, but I ended up with a 1 oz. $15/ oz... seriously!? Regardless, I was excited to tr it anyway, as I have been experiencing a lot of food allergies and health problems and have had to REALLY clean up my diet. My intent for this powder was to blend into my Bulletproof coffee and maybe make some sweet treats down the road a bit, once I get past this clean-up phase. Upon opening the container, I was VERY surprised that there was literally no smell. Not sweet, not sour, and certainly not vanilla. Vanilla beans are naturally aromatic, so the absence of smell was a huge disappointment.Ever the optimist, I decided to try it anyway. There is ZERO flavor to this powder, no matter how much I tried. It certainly does not have a vanilla flavor. I knew, going in, that it would not blend well in coffee, and that was ok. It did not. In fact, even when mixing well with an immersion blender, it still surfaces and separates very quickly. Had it given me even a hint of flavor, I would have made it work... but again, odorless, flavorless and a very gritty texture that does not want to play well with liquids. And lest you believe that I am just missing it, I have VERY sensitive senses. I have a nose like a bloodhound and can single out spices in foods fairly easily. I don't know if my particular bag was simply old stock or something different altogether, but it was NOT like any vanilla powder I have ever tried before.

Excellent Alternative to Extract
I used to make my own vanilla extract and was on the hunt for more beans. I had no idea vanilla is now the second most expensive spice in the world! This led me to alternatives which led me to the vanilla bean powder.Love it. I've used it in place of regular extract and it's so much better. It goes further and will last much longer. Highly recommend this for any bakers looking for vanilla but find the cost daunting. To touch on other reviewers comments about this not smelling or tasting like vanilla - It's a ground, raw bean. That classic vanilla smell and flavor only comes when you add sugar and other ingredients. Don't expect this at all when you buy the powder, the powder is exactly what raw vanilla bean smells and tastes like in real life. A mild and earthy smell with a hint of vanilla - literally, it smells and tastes like a ground raw vanilla bean. I don't know any other way to explain it.It comes in a handy, small envelope that stores nicely with my other extracts and a little goes a very long way. I love how this flavors food, it's easy to use and convenient. No alcohol used to make an extract which is a plus. I have relatives that cannot even have extract due to the alcohol or gluten - this is a wonderful alternative! I highly recommend this vanilla powder.
