Good quality and excellent value for money
I fitted this with some trepidation but following several different and useful videos on Youtube. I successfully replaced the TouchID pad from the original broken screen which was the most challenging bit. Recommend having a clear work surface and putting all the screws in a pattern when you disassemble them which helps you to remember where each goes on reassembly. I used two suction pads (plastic/rubber circular pad and key ring style finger hold) - one carefully attached to the screen - just above the touch ID button - and the other carefully applied to the back of the iphone in a similar position. It takes a fair bit of tension to budge the screen enough to insert the guitar pick style tool into the initial gap and then carefully move it in either direction to free the whole of the bottom edge of the screen. You then need to be careful and raise the screen only enought to allow the Touch ID button flex cable to be detached. The flex cable is fairly long so you can move the screen a fair bit for access. The small bracket that secure the touch ID sensor is the fiddliest bit on re-assembly, I found. It has two right angle bits on one side and one right angled bit on the other side which has a rolled tube like shape at the end. I found the best way to install this was to insert it at an angle with the two sided edge pointing towards the bottom of the iphone in the gap with the other side raised up then press the other side down like closing a door. So the two sided bits are like the hinge on a door and the one sided bit is like the door lock. I also powered the phone up (carefully) prior to refitting the screen to check that it all worked before final assembly.

Pleased with the replacement
When our sons iPhone SE screen got accidentally smashed during lockdown I decided to have a go at replacing it myself. I left it a couple of weeks in case a phone repair shop miraculously opened but also to give the boy a sense of loss at his mistake......... then decided to order this product as it seemed the most complete in terms of replacement and therefore the best bet for a novice. I ordered the white screen and received the black screen instead but nevertheless decided just to install it anyhow as said boy was quite happy with that. The seller emailed me a link to an installation demo on YouTube so I sat down to follow that. I soon realised that the video was for the 6s though and had a search for a more relevant demo, of which there were many. Replacing the screen was actually quite straightforward. Take care when removing the bracket over the home button cable because it took me a while and two hoes to get it on the right way around. I did get my husband to prise the screen open with a Stanley knife as the provided instructions were more relevant to that technique, and the supplied lever tool was too thick; however on watching the correct demo I could see that the sucker tool should have been used with the lever to work correctly. I followed the instructions carefully and labelled the screws on a piece of paper as I took them out. The reverse process of installation was straightforward, there are only a handful of steps. I did need to use some tweezers which weren’t supplied. The replacement of the home button cable was the trickiest because of the space available when I got to that point and the replacement of the screen into place did require the assistance of my husband because I was paranoid of pressing both sides of the top of the screen which is a no no in the instructions. It took a while to get the top of the screen into the perfect position but one it was in place I held it securely along to top edge while my husband clipped the rest into position. Seems to work well so far so happy parents and happy son. Would recommend.

Cheap screen, does the trick
The screen works fine and looks fine. For the price it's a good buy, but I can't give it 5 stars for 2 reasons:1. the cables that connect the screen weren't quite in the same place as the original which made it a bit tricky to connect the last one because I was fighting against the tension in the cable to try and get the connector in.2. The home button it comes with was absolute rubbish, it either didn't work when pressed or went straight to Siri. So I had to transfer the old home button to the new screen - not too hard, after using a hairdryer to soften the glue.I'm not referring to touchID not working, I knew that would be the case, but the button was simply useless. To sum up: it's a lot cheaper than an OEM part and does the job just fine but fitting was a bit fiddly

Much easier to install than older iPhones
My original SE screen was not smashed, but after I dropped it, the right half of the screen was totally unresponsive. After installing this kit, the problem was resolved. I also found this kit was very easy to use in comparison to similar kits for older iPhones. Search YouTube for 4fvRVx5O96I and you will find a video tutorial that is very easy to follow. The tools within this kit were not bad either - very basic and not very sturdy, but they did the job.

Extremely Poor quality (I bought two, each from a different supplier on Amazon)
The quality control on these screen replacements is appalling. This is the second screen that I have purchased, and both have had serious defects. Due to the age of the phone, I understand that they must construct these screens from salvaged parts but there is no excuse putting these on the market without properly testing them. The first screen I purchased had four vertical scanlines, from top to bottom. This is not a question of my technical ability as I do not have this issue with my old screen which I tested afterwards and still produces a good image, despite having a crack on the screen. I returned the screen and purchased another from a different supplier on Amazon. This screen arrived bent and was as filthy as the previous screen. The screen works but there are two light patches on the screen which is usually a sign of LCD damage. In addition, the front camera doesn’t work so I had to replace this with the camera from my old screen. The procedure for replacing the screen is not difficult and there are plenty of good YouTube videos to help you with this. However, from my experience and other reviewers, you will be lucky if you receive a screen replacement with no issues. I would not take the chance if it were not for Amazon’s return policy.
