I love this dc controller. It works great with my laserIt works great with my electric pickIt can take a beating.Very useful for projects that require controlling a DC output.

Workes great on a 12 v car fan
Small and had a shut off along with the various speed controlK

It works, but can't use input voltages below ~4V.
This PWM controller seems to work fine, but there is a significant issue when using input voltages below 4V which I will explain below.I wanted to use this controller to adjust the power output to some resistive heaters with a single Li ion cell as the input. It just did not work; the output current was very small and the FET got very hot quickly. I did bridge the solder points on the circuit board to work with the lower voltage range. The issue is that for these low voltages, the gate voltage supplied to the FET is too low. I measured the gate voltage to be about 1V less than the input voltage. So for a 3.5V Li ion cell the gate voltage is below the threshold and the FET resistance is very high. This caused the low output current and FET heating. I changed the design of my project to use a 2s Li ion battery and this solved the problem. The seller should make a note of this issue since I guess this might be the cause of several of the bad reviews.

The old but best solution for motor control
I was rebuilding a non-functional, high-$ back-pack lawn sprayer pump. I troubleshot the failure down to a potted PWM circuit board. So, I paid $70 to buy an OEM replacement. After an hour, that circuit board failed.I recognized that the sprayer's electrical design was overly complex. It looked like the design of a fresh-out electrical engineering grad or mechanical engineer's speculation. The engineer's speed control choice is either underrated on A's or V's ... it's an 18V battery directly driving a 12V, 3A control circuit. This particular PWM is '5A' rated here, but '3A' is rated elsewhere in the market. Maybe it'll last, maybe not, BUT it proved that a $70 OEM replacement could be accomplished with a far simpler, variable speed $4 solution. So far so good.

Missing Instructions
There are a number of reviews highlighting that the device is DOA or does not work at low voltages. I have a 3V application and it seemed that I would be another DOA review. However there seems to be a low voltage setting that is activated by shorting 2 pads on the reverse together. Everything worked as expected once I did that. I did not find any instructions but took a guess based on another reviewer.I can't speak to longevity at this point but it does seem to do the job (now).

Works great on latest project.
Working great to slow down the motor on my latest project.

Draws 1.8 amps when off
Garbage. When you switch it off, it still outputs voltage! 1.8 amps to be exact! So unless you want a constant battery drain EVEN WHEN OFF. DO NOT BUY!!!

Riorand DC 3V 6V 12V 24V 35V 5A Motor Speed Controller
Used to control the speed of the DC fans in my powered speakers. Simple to wire up and they worked right away.

Perfect for what i was looking for
My wife's spider light broke and she asked me to fix it. Came to found out the dimmer was broken so I tried to contact the company for a replacement part. Of course it wasn't available so I started looking elsewhere and stumbled on this product. Was hard to find something that went up to 24v and this worked perfect!! It was an easy swap after re working the wire set up. Was even able to use the existing knob! And now I look like Mr fix it 😎 not a bad price either. Very satisfied with the product and result. Thank you.
