TYC 611400 Compatible with BMW X5 Replacement A/C Condenser Fan Assembly, Black

My son and I installed this fan on our 2005 X5 about 6 months ago. There were and are no issues. Everything fit perfectly, it sounds and operates as expected. This is the low cost fan to use. Prior to buying, confirmed with a Youtuber that his had been running fine for two years. Used his video for installation too.

Installed June 2021 myself on my '05 E53 X5 3.0 (US model - petrol).. I did have to remove /loosen my front bumper but otherwise installation was straight forward and fit is perfect.TYC is based in Taiwan and has been making auto electric parts for 60+ years. I believe this fan was made in Taiwan.3 yrs on, I have no problems and would buy another one for a different BMW if I had to .This fan comes with a non-transferable lifetime warranty from TYC...Can't beat that. I suggest you download/print the warranty (In description) in case they decide to change it.

I replaced this in my 2006 BMW X5 3.0i.It was an exact replacement fit and works like a charm. I sure hope this lasts a long time because the labor involved with replacing the fan is very painful. I was able to do this myself and save so much money from not taking it into the repair shop. I give it 5 stars! **UPDATE *** Do not buy this product. 4 months later and this fan does not function anymore. I will have to try to find out how to file a warranty claim.

The fin I received was a little bit oversized (<1/16"s) than the original in profile. This small oversize won't let me get into the front. I had to cut one side a bit to make it fit.After I installed it, it works fine and do cool down when getting hot. At high speed, it seems a little bit unbalanced. But I am going to leave it alone until it dies to replace it with another.Overal I think it is worthwhile as it functions well so far.

Got the fan on time in great package condition, installation was a DIY project for my 2001 X5 BMW 4.4i left hand drive 8 Cylinder. it is working well since installed one month ago.

Had lots of cooling issues (Over temp, faulty thermostat, burst coolant reservoir ect) and poor AC and could not get my original BMW Aux cooling fan to come on. Did not want to pay $600 for genuine BMW Part. Also had people say to remove the fan housing and fit OEM fan to original BMW housing to ensure correct fit. I didn't need to with this product, took out the whole old fan and replaced with the new one very easily. The vent holes are a slightly different design and the fan control unit is fitted to the side as opose to BMW's integrated motor and control unit. However once the engine ran hot the fan worked great and solved all my cooling issues. I replaced the top and bottom Rad hoses just to make sure as they were hitting the 10 year mark, not sure if the plastics will last much longer as others in my system have failed to date. Now my car is running great, the coolant system and fan are operating perfectly, my AC was instantly cooler and getting cooler quicker so happy. The fan is generally well made, it didn't feel cheap and runs at varying speeds dependent on the commands, its also no more noisy than the original fan so in a nut shell, really happy with this part so far. Hopefully it will last a few years but much cheaper than buying genuine BMW as these are a common failure on the BMW X5 E53. This should help maintain my auto transmission gear box temp too.

Quiet than my previous OEM auxiliary fan and much cheaper. Fits like a glove and easy to install. The only problem I had before was the fan didn’t work right away. It took a few days of driving before it started working (No idea why). I was about to send it back but today it worked! Happy with my purchase. I’ll give an update next time. I’ll keep my fingers crossed 🤞.Update: 6 months of constant use, still working. No overheating issues so far.Update: Auxiliary fan is still working as expected after 6 months. Every thing was perfect. It was a pain in the butt to take the OEM out but once it was out this want exactly the same way. Not only that the connector was also exactly the same. No cut-outs or pigtails or hot wiring needed. OEM priced out for $697 CAD had issues with the supplier for not mentioning about the customs but the part was excellent replacement.
