Typical EK quality.
I like EK paper punches because they have always performed perfectly for me. As with many products, I'm sure there are some duds that slip through quality control, but I haven't found any, and I've purchased several different EK paper punches. With proper use, regular cleaning, and sharpening, I have several EK lever type paper punches that have lasted for almost 10 years now. I prefer the lever punches because they're easier to use, and are more durable than other types of paper punches. The locking mechanism design is great, which is on all of my EK lever type paper punches, and it helps to protect the sharpness. Like other punches, it can develop some stickiness if you're punching any adhesive material, like stickers, or labels, but a quick cleaning can return the punch to normal. EK lever type paper punches can be easily used on thicker paper, like cardstock. Paper thickness should be something that you need to use good judgement on. If it feels too thick, it probably is.All together, I'm super happy with this EK paper punch. I think it's a great value for price, and it cuts through every type of paper, and thickness, that I need it to.

Love this
Exactly What i needed for with my kobo clara colour ereader. I make my own inserts. And the power button is on the back so this whole puncher was big enough for me to make a nice opening! It’s a useful gadget to have.

Great Design and Durable Material
Might be odd to say this about a little hole punch, but this thing is a perfect design! It’s compact, easy to use, has a lock on the bottom (the yellow tab shown in 3rd photo), and the material feels durable. The punch goes through evenly with no snags.I wouldn’t try punching through a bunch of pages, but it can go through 2 pages of card stock beautifully.

Love, love, love this hole punch!
EK punches are the best! I love this tiny little punch! I use it to make “hole” protectors while paper crafting (for tags, binder pages, etc.). I use another tiny punch to make the hole in the middle. I can use all of my scrap cardstock to make hole protectors “til the cows come home”.Love this! Two thumbs up!

These are great punches
EK Tools punches are great products. I have the half inch and 3/8 inch circle punches and they get the job done easily. I really like the fact that they are not bulky, no excess space. And they do lock down flat, making them very easy to store. I have several die sets that can do what a lot of punches do, but I find a punch easy to grab and use versus having to drag the die cutting machine out and running the dies through. Punches work, and the EK Tools are ones to look at. I will be buying more.

Bulletproof construction makes this an incredibly durable crafting tool
We've only had this for a few days but already we've put it through it's paces. We're using it as part of a packaging process for products we manufacture and already it's punched probably more than 1000 holes from stickers, to thin paper, to heavy cardstock yet it seems to keep asking "what else ya got!?"The overall design has had some thought put into it - probably why they took the time to patent it. And while the outer housing is made from two types of plastic, the inner cutting "guts" are all made from die cast metal with three heavy, quality springs you'll always be able to count on to retract again and again. The cutter punch itself is beveled which makes the cutting easier, clean and accurate, unlike flat punches that can bunch up or tear the paper around the edges over time. You'll feel the quality the moment you pick it up and work it a few times. The cutter also has a handy little slide that locks it closed, reducing it's footprint for easier storage in a drawer or craft box. Plus, we love that it's made in Taiwan.Truly a quality product that far exceeded our expectations and was worth the few dollars more you'll pay than for a flimsy all-plastic one made in China. You'll be passing it down to your grandkids.Kudos, EK Tools! Thoroughly impressed and we'll definitely be back!

I finally found one that works........ and it's not made of GOLD!!!!
I have tried 2 other paper punches before this one and The EK Tools circle Punch 1/2" is the BEST!!!!!!1) Carl Craft Small Size Craft Paper Punch, Circle 1/2 (CP-1 Circle 1/2)ASIN:B001CBZX6M2) Fiskars Crafts Lever Punch Circle, Small (124830-1002)ASIN:B00YNZE76GI am trying to punch circles out of thermal label paper, which is thinner than paper and has adhesive on one side.**Right out of the box I cut 10 circles of thermal label paper and it did not stick or crinkle the paper up nice clean circles using the EK Tools circle Punch 1/2"**1) Carl Craft 1/2" punch. this is a Green Square shaped 1/2" circle punch out of the box it punched 1 circle great the other five got torn or stuck in the punch.2) Fiskars Crafts Lever punch .6" Punch this one cuts a little bigger then 1/2" but still works for me. I punched 6 circles just like the the one above. but this one cut one circle good but the rest got the punch cutter stuck in the down position I had to force it back up using the back of a marker. same results 1 good the other five torn or stuck in punch.Bottom line if you need a punch that will do the job thin or thick you should get this product.
