Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar Strumpet 0.33 oz

So, like the title of my review says, I love this lip tar. The one thing you have to keep in mind if you're new to this lip tar is to use the tiniest amount humanly possible at a time. Don't just go slathering it on like your everyday chapstick; you'll regret that. A tiny bit at a time; a little bit of this stuff goes a long way. The only reason I docked a star is because in the description of the product it says that it will come with a pouch and a lip brush; mine didn't. I would have really liked a brush to apply this with, since it does stain your finger a bit if you apply it that way. I ordered strumpet, stalker, and hush, and in all, they are beautifully pigmented colors, will stay on like nothing else, and feels great; not sticky like other products. Be aware that they do dry a bit matte, so if you don't care for that effect, just slap a little gloss on top. They will also dry your lips slightly, so I would recommend exfoliating and moisturizing them before applying the lip tar.

A little messier than expected to apply. Be patient, let it dry well. Pleasant scent and faint taste - both fade quickly. You need to experiment a little with application to get it right. Very glad of the clear case (keep it!) or it would be all over the inside of my purse. Lasts fairly well, highly pigmented, so the tube should last for a while. Color a pip darker than expected, but, I like it. Want to try others!

Lip tars are great because you only need a very small amount to achieve full coverage. Only gave 4 stars because it tends to bleed - this seems to be resolved when you use a lip liner (which I did) or possibly if you apply the lip primer which is recommended in the insrtructions (I have not tried this). The strumpet shade is a very bright pink berry color. Long lasting - up to 4 or 5 hours, but without much eating or drinking.

I've waited so long to try lip tar! For my birthday I received an amazon gift card and decided to go for it..I regret it. The color is gorgeous, the staying power sucks, it is hella runny, and rubs off on everything.Be careful. The seller charges a 30% return fee (wouldn't have bought this from them if I noticed that first). I didn't realize this had hemp oil in it until my lips broke out. I was unimpressed. This stuff rubs off on everything. I tried it with primer, without primer, let it dry, everything. Didn't help. Hopefully, I'll find something to do with this crap. Pretty sure this stuff just has a cult following because I've bought drugstore lipsticks with longer staying power at half the price.

I love this stuff! It's some serious pigment and it stays put. You only have to use a little bit and be careful not to smudge it or get it on other things other than your lips, because it stains. But it's great if you're looking for a seriously pigmented non drying lip color. You can add lip balm underneath or gloss on top. I now want to get a pink and a red. Actually, I just realized that I'm wearing it right now AND I got a compliment on it this morning. Who complements lip color at work?

Really greasy and difficult to keep off the teeth until totally dried. Messy and not worth the effort.

Am I doing something wrong? It doesnt last long on me.

Too messy for me. Too pink.
