I've had a pair of these scissors for over 20 years. I thought I lost them, so I promptly purchased this pair as I thought being without them would be intolerable. Shortly after purchasing, I found the old pair. Having two is no hardship. I am 68 have large hands, which are arthritic to some degree. These scissors are comfortable and sharp and I use them to trim many garden stems that most people would have shears for. I have never sharpened the original pair and they won't cut plastic anymore, but have no trouble with stems. They are built so you can separate the blades and I do keep them clean. I can't say enough good things about them, but I would not go so far as to recommend them for anyone with severe arthritis. I'm also muscular for a woman and that may add another dimension to their effectiveness.

I love FISKARS!!! I have owned nothing but Fiskars scissors for decades. The are beyond superior! I would never own another brand. Therefore, I was excited to see they offered Multi-Feature Kitchen Scissors!Usually I prefer the Fiskars that are actually forged in FINLAND, as they are the finest of the brand. These scissors were not, but they looked tank-tough, so I took a chance.They preform great! They have several features. They can be disassembled in half a second for cleaning. WOW!I cut open a couple packages with raw meat in them. So, I wanted to run the scissors through the dishwasher. Seems logical. I do it with the two other Fiskars scissors that I use in the kitchen. The first time or two, there didn't seem to be a problem. The third time that I washed them in the dishwasher, I noticed some rust after taking them out. Not a lot, two or three spots about 1 sq mm. With each successive wash, the rust spots grow and increase in number.What a disappointment! Why would someone make a Kitchen Knife that cannot go through the Dishwasher??? I have no idea. I presume they will rust to the point I'll have to discard them. When I do, I won't be replacing them with Fiskars Kitchen Scissors.But I still LOVE Fiskars Scissors! - Paul Granger

These relaced an old pair that finally broke. I wanted my new pair to have a notch for cutting larger items like flower stems and these work great

Cuts anything that you can throw at it. Easy to use and clean. It comes apart to clean and sharpen.

I've had these for a month or two now and have been using them a lot to open boxes and cut down cardboard (just moved in). The little piece for the tape cutter is just plastic and doesn't cut through very easily; I find you have to pop it through the tape and slide it along but when you get to a thicker area it doesn't go through. Suggestion to Fiskars: put an actual blade there so it will actually cut through packing tape. It comes apart easily for the knife but doesn't go back together that easily for some reason. I haven't had to use the sharpener yet but it is very nice that it's built in to the cover. I haven't used the other options either but like that they are available. I've never considered scissors comfortable; I have thin fingers and these are no different. They claim to be comfortable but I can't image if you have big fingers how it would be; mine barely fit. Over all I would still highly recommend these scissors for all that they can do.

I'm 84 and can honestly say these are the best all purpose shears I've ever owned! Extremely pleased!!
