We have purchased three of these for use in our home. Office, master bedroom and kitchen. They work very well to filter out dust, dander, kitchen smoke and smells. The low and sleep settings are very quiet. Filter changes are easy and quick. I appreciate the reminder light to tell me when it's time to replace the filter.

I have one of these in my office at work to help clean the air of smoke and other contaminants and I would not be without it. As I am severely allergic to dust and some pollen, I bought this one for my bedroom. I have had it running for two weeks and I can tell an immediate difference. My nose has completely cleared thanks to the work of this unit. It has several modes. The high mode works great and has a louder hum, but it is more white noise than anything. The low mode is very quiet. The sleep mode is quietest of all. There is also a blue light that shines on the surface it is sitting on. The filter is very easy to change and the device will tell you when it needs changing. I highly recommend.

I have tried a few small air filters, the last of which was Blue Air Pure 411 -- all of them were way too loud to be of any use to me in a small office. This Bissell is the first one that looks like it will work. It has three speeds: SLEEP, LOW, and HIGH. HIGH is loud and I would only use it for a short period if I had to clear the air in the room rapidly. SLEEP is too loud for me to sleep with. But, LOW is just what I needed: it is quiet enough for me not to notice it above the ambient sounds in the office (the low whir of a computer and the low whir of a much larger air filter) while still actually filtering air. When I stand over the unit when it's set to LOW, I can actually feel the updraft, so I know it's going to filter some air. I wanted a small air filter to supplement a large air filter as I attempt to do something about the incredible dust problem in this small office. Even with a large air filter, I still manage to fill my PC with dust in just a few months. I put this new unit right next to the PC so hopefully that will help.

This air cleaner has helped tremendously to keep down the dust and cat hair in the house! Controls are simple, allowing 1-hour, 4-hour, or 8-hour operation, or continuous cleaning. The bottom untwists for quick, easy access to the filter, which is easily cleaned by using a vacuum's hose attachment. The only drawback is that it's a little noisy, but if you like a white noise machine for going to sleep, this is great in the bedroom. The sleek, utilitarian appearance is inoffensive with any decor.

Loving this little bedside air purifier. I use it everyday for at least 8 hours.Few things to mention:1) At first it had a smell (like gas or burning rubber). Contacted Bissell, they said the smell will go away and IT DID after 2-3 weeks. So, don't panic if it smell in the beginning!2) The "Sleep" mode is too light (my opinion). You can sleep with "low" mode cuz it is very quiet too. Bissell should've made low mode to sleep mode and low mode to medium mode, which is lacking.3) On high, it is loud. But I only use it before sleep or when I'm away from the bedroom.4) The light is nice blue light night. Will turn on high and with light on and walk away until its time to sleep. Gives some light to the bedroom.5) It has timer for 1 hr or 4 hr or 8 hr and I use it everyday. Bisell should've added 2 hrs instead of 1 hr but for other times is a good amount. I mostly use 4 and 8 hrs.6) I bought Bissell brand cuz I know where I can buy the filter in many years from now and that is important. (I have a "old" air purifier that still works great but I had very hard time locating air filters and ended up paying a lot for it.)Overall, it is a great air purifier and glad I got it for my bedroom. I may get another one for the kitchen.

These types of small air purifiers are generally getting poor reviews online. The larger purifiers selling for $250+ do get much better ratings overall. However, with a small town home (1700 sq ft), I took a chance and bought two Bissell MYair purifiers. I was pleasantly surprised with the results ... Might even pick up another later on.Pros:'Low' fan speed is very quiet.'High' fan speed is much louder but works great as a 'white noise' generator in my bedroom (noisy neighbors).Filter changes are easy and not too expensive.Effectively eliminated odors in my kitchen.Simple to operate & small footprint.Pleasant night light.Cons:Only comes in the white color.Other:No UV germicidal light option.Only one type of replaceable filter. Would pay more for an upgraded higher quality/efficiency filter.No 'Medium' fan speed option ... Currently only 'Low' or 'High' modes are available.

Works as advertised. I also bought some replacement filters to have on hand. Lets you know when it's time to change out the filter. One filter lasts quite a while; how long would depend on your air quality to begin with.

Seems to work well.
