Great for business!
I recently purchased the CPB Heating Pad for use in my phone and tablet repair business, and I must say, it has been a game-changer. The pad is compatible with iPad Mini, smartphones, and other devices, making it a versatile tool for a variety of repair jobs. The heating pad provides consistent and even heat, which is crucial for separating LCD screens from the device's frame. It heats up quickly and maintains a constant temperature, making it easier and safer to work with delicate components. The pad is also easy to use. Simply plug it in and turn it on, and it will begin heating up immediately. The compact size makes it easy to store and transport, which is great for mobile repair technicians. One thing I appreciate about this heating pad is its durability. It's made with high-quality materials that can withstand frequent use and exposure to heat. It's also easy to clean, which is important when working with adhesives or other materials that can leave residue.Overall, I highly recommend the CPB Heating Pad Compatible with iPad Mini Phone Smartphone LCD Screen Separator Machine Repair Tools Heat Plate. It's a reliable and effective tool that has helped me save time and improve the quality of my repairs. If you're in the business of phone and tablet repair, this is a must-have tool in your arsenal.

CPB3000 Mini intial test is OK --Updated
I purchased the CPB300 Mini which is different size from some of the other reviews but very similar product. This is the one that is smaller size and has parts boxes across the top.Tested on one old phone to make sure it will work.Heated very fast. I am using for Samsung Galaxy S phones with the curved side so it takes a lot of heat to get to the glue on the back plate. In the future I will probably heat the entire back for a little and then hold the phone at an angle to just heat one side exactly at the glue line. There are two modes, Tablet mode has a timer and limits to 90c. Phone mode can be set for a fixed temp without timer and goes to the higher temp.GOOD:It worked as I expected.Timer worked and temperature control appeared to work but was not checked for accuracy.Size is good for phone repairs and will not take up too much space on bench.Questionable: Having a working surface with tool and parts storage on the same mat is questionable. I see this as being used just to heat the device and then moving to another work surface for actual repairs. At the temperature needed to release the glue, I do not want to risk touching the pad and burning myself. So why have parts and tool storage? Appears to be odd combination and not added functionality in my opinion. The description also lists "LCD screen separator" which I believe is a stretch. I suspect this is to get it to show in searches rather than being a viable device for someone doing screen separations. Disclaimer, I do not do separations so this is just my observation.BAD: There is insulation under the pad, however, the bottom still got very hot and my desk surface (Solid wood with laminate) got very hot. If using at the higher temperatures or for long periods of time, you would want more insulation under the pad. Made in China with no UL testing, I would not trust leave plugged in to power when not in use.--Update 10/21/2020I have used the product a number of times and it has worked as expected. It does get very hot on the bottom so you need to make sure it sits on appropriate surface. Reason for downrating is because there is no electrical standards or markings on the product. No UL, CE, TUV, PSE, nothing. I don't want to find out it was not a safe product after a fire. It will go in the trash and I will look for something else.

Gets WAY hotter than it should
In phone mode, this is preset to heat up to 75C. I would like 60C but can't seem to adjust it. Fine, let's give it a try I thought. This pad got very very hot, way hotter than 75C so I grabbed my thermal camera and what do you know, this pad was 140C!! Turned it off and let it cool down, tried again and this time it heated up to 125C (it should be 75C). Every test I did resulted in a different temperature but always much higher than the 75C it should have been. I'm afraid to even try the tablet mode which is preset to 90C as I'm not crazy about the thought of my house burning down!Photo shows 122C temperature while it should be 75C, it also shows the uneven heat distribution.Additionally the pad is also not able to hold a steady temperature. It will "cool" down to 110C then it kicks on again because the sensor thinks it dipped below 75C (it shows 73C at that point). It will heat the pad up again to 115-120C and repeat the cycle. The temperature sensor in this thing is simply no good. Finally the heat is not evenly distributed, some wires appear to make contact in the lower half of the pad which results in a huge hotspot, the center will have a relative cold spot (30C less) and on top and the top-sides will be somewhere in between. As mentioned in another review there are no regulatory markings at all. I'm surprised Amazon, or anyone, is allowed to sell this really. With these kinds of temperatures I don't even want to know what kinds of toxins are off-gassing from these, likely equally unregulated, materials used in the pad.Size is nice and I wish it worked but the way I see this it's absolutely a safety risk to have, let alone leave unattended while you wait for adhesive to loosen up.
