Just what I was looking for. I attach this to a line for pulling kids up a zipline then can release them from below for the ride down. (Not attached to the zipline just the line for pulling them to the top of it) Reasonable easy to release even under load. I would guess it takes about a 5th of the force to release the pin as the load it is holding. The pin is spring loaded (does not fall out) and the clasp closes without having to pull on the pain again. 18 KN strength rating is very reassuring. Seems like a real specialty item, but well made.

I used this hook to build a one-point sling for a gun I built. This hooks onto my should section of my plate carrier and so far holds up very well for my gun. I will buy a couple more for future builds.

Tends to have a sticky latch but that can be nice if you want a little more resistance

so solid, want a ½" diameter pin one.....

Very cool device. We used for a quick release moment in an aerial dance performance. Worked perfectly for our needs.

I am not pleased. This appears to be a used, dirty, and the finish is worn. I would guess it's either been used and returned or improperly stored...for a long time. Either way it is not in a condition that should be sold as new.

Using as a quick release training a horse for cart. So far it is taking the weight of the small sleigh and is releasing when required.

I got this to use as a quick release for a skijoring line. Works perfectly. Make sure that whatever you clip the release side onto is made of metal (loop, clip, etc). Fabric or cord may not release as cleanly when there is a load on the line.

Arrived black instead of chrome. Works great.

Didn’t hold up to 1000 lbs. too hard to pull release at that weight.
