My friends play rough, and my phone is going to get knocked around, it will get wet and it will be put through some dirty situations. I bought the active to take on such challenges, and this is the second time I have used this case. The last case gave out in about a year, with the screen protector not creating a proper seal and allowing water to seep in on the screen. No biggie, the phone itself is pretty water resistant and a few drops arent going to hurt it.But it was time to replace that old case with...the exact same case!!! So things I have done with my phone while the last case was on it, and why I chose it again.- been through two traffic collisions with the phone being either in my pocket or the cup holder. A tbone that pushed our work car through an intersection on my side (passenger) sending the phone flying. No Damage to phone. The second was when our work car got rear ended by a drunk, again passenger, phone flew, phone hit something hard. No damage to phone nor case.- been through a down pour, open water lines, been thrown in a pool or two, may or may not have fallen ina couple sinks. A mix of crazy friends, and crazy kids...of friends. They are only adorable when they are yours!- been through mosh pits, local shows, punk and metal pits- slammed into walls, dividers, on the ground- job hazards- fallen from head/shoulder height and I stand about 5'10/11 and I'm 6ft with the boots on- I have been hit on my thigh and the phone case took it. People, equipment, and "other"Wow, reading that I sound like a hooligan. I'm actually quite the nerd, just work puts me in different types of environments. I also like to go on trails and be one with nature (no hippie) which includes water, and climbing boulder/rock faces. Small little things, 100 ft or so.This is a good case.

This case is incredibly sturdy, and a solid case all around. It's heavy duty, the screen cover is fitted tightly against the screen, and the port covers, while technically unnecessary due to the port being coated on the interior, are handy for keeping out unwanted dust, dirt, and sand.The hard outer case is built like a tank. I mean that, I have tested this thing on much higher drops than the phone is rated for (10ft. vs. 4ft.), and it hasn't even bothered it. Access to the camera and heart rate monitor is unobstructed, and the cutouts on the front are well centered over the sensors so that they, too, are unobstructed and we'll centered.The belt holster is sturdy and well designed. Rotation is a tad stiff and difficult, but this no issue once you have it where you want it. Clipping the phone in (screen inwards only) is a breeze, and I've not had even the slightly worry of losing my phone or the clip whilst running or jumping (regular occurrences on my jobsite).My only complaint, and it's very minor, is that the case makes the buttons almost blend into the sides and feel mushy rather than allowing their regular clicky feel. While I'd love to still have that tactile, clicky button press, it is a minor loss compared to the tank-like construction that you get with the case.I'd happily recommend this to anyone I knew, if anyone else I knew had an S6 Active.

I’ve never liked cases, but decided to try a couple of cases from Amazon after dropping my S4: this case, and a cheaper model ($8). This gave me a good perspective on the quality and features:This case is superior in quality of materials and engineering. The cheap brand was loose and had a spongy case, which some may like. This case is almost hard plastic with some rubbery grip, but I like it. The fit of this case is superb.Since the plastic is a bit hard, the side buttons are difficult to press. This will take some getting used to, but also reduces accidental button presses. The spongy cheaper case was easy to press the side buttons.The belt clip on this model is clearly better than the cheap brand. Very secure and no worries about having it pop off my belt.The cheap brand was very difficult to remove from the carrier. The clip was too tight. This model was just right, holding on firmly, but removable with a twist of the fingers.Functionally, the cheap case had a kick stand which is nice. However, the added thickness or metal prevented the wireless charging to work. This model works with a wireless charger if centered a little more carefully than without.The cheap case did not have a screen protector, which is something I wanted. However in hindsight, this is an advantage as a glass screen protector is far superior then the one that comes with this case. The cheap plastic, in a word, is horrible, and the only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5. Other comments are correct about the problems with this screen protector. I ordered a glass one and probably will remove the one on this model and let the glass protect the screen.I am overall very happy with this case. To make it perfect, I think the manufacturer should consider removing the screen protector and just include a glass one with the kit.
