Good value
On my other bike, I upgraded from the original stiff and rigid aluminum to an amazingly supple and forgiving Deda Superleggera carbon. It was immediately noticeable from the first mile on.Built up a second bike on a budget and decided to take a chance with these Platt drop bars. I usually ride a 420mm (Deda 440mm) but at the time of purchase, Amazon only had the 400mm and I'm glad that I went with them because, now, I feel that the 400mm fits me better. They're a size smaller than the Deda and they're 205g vs 195g for the Deda, but that's still amazingly light. Of course the low weight is also a concern in durability. But so far, I've had no reason to doubt their safety. The Deda is flexible. If you get on the drops and twist left and right with your hands, you can see the bars twist and give. The Platt is completely rigid. I had doubts in its ability to absorb road vibrations but as soon as I got on the road, I realized that there was no reason for concern. They're noticeably more supple compared to an aluminum bar and pretty close to an expensive Deda Superleggera.Being that they're not an aero profile with a blade like top section, I'm less concerned about failure which tends to happen on the transition from the round stem section to the thin blade section. I feel that the traditional rounder profile is safer and less risky to ride.Overall, I'm very happy with them. They'd easily be a value at even twice the price. Definitely a value at a 1/5th of the Deda.UPDATE: March of 2021, I did a century ride and all I can say is that the bars were great! No complaints whatsoever.

Comfortable, stiff
The stiffness makes the responsiveness notable

Locking the covers is a problem
I agree with all the previous reviews: they are a nice design, are sturdy and look good. The directions are minimal but there is nothing complicated going on. The issue with getting the covers to lock is real and a pain. Two covers went on without issue the other two took some work. I wanted to avoid using the clamp method because I was concerned that after the clamp is released there is now some residual pressure on areas that shouldn't be under stress. My thought was to file plastic away from those areas on the cover where I could see it coming into contact with the metal base before the cover was in place...No luck. I ended up using the clamp. It didn't need a lot of pressure from the clamp to reach the point that I could turn the key...so that was a relief. Just unfortunate given that everything else about this rack seems well designed.

Took a chance and so far so good
Have been riding with the bars for about 3 months and about 450 miles. These replaced some faded FSA aluminum bars. I was looking for a narrower profile and a similar semi aero flat top section. These delivered the features though the drop is a little more than I was used to, but it’s okay. Can I tell between alu and carbon bars? Not really. Weight wise, the 38cm bars were 230g. That’s more than advertised. Overall quality seems good.

Great low cost handlebar
These really make you wonder why pay 6x more for a brand name carbon bar. They are solid but light and work the way they should. My second set of cheap Chinese bars and I'd easily buy them again.

these flex like a wet noodle
totally a case of u get what u pay for. these do "work" for sure but they flex so much when even lightly sprinting i didnt want to chance it so i removed them and tossed them in a box. oh and the ends of the bars were not equal in length. the right one was cut abut 2cm longer. which always caught my eye when riding. i guess you could trim it but just another thing that doesnt inspire confidence. they do however feel super light weight tho. so might work out for a weight weenie project in the future.

Prompt delivery, well packed, nice sturdy carbon handlebar.
Very pleased with prompt delivery, excellent packaging and strong, nicely finished handlebars. Tried to make them flex to test their safety and they seemed very solid. Strong recommendation.
