I was confident in buying this product because I bought and used the piercing aftercare from the same brand and had huge success. One of the things that drew me to both items were the organic ingredients. When my tattoos are in the healing period, toward the end they itch like crazy. It never fails. Honestly, that's my main reason for buying this...was something to aid the "itchy tattoo" until it was completely healed. My tats had already done most of their healing when I bought this so I can't vouch for how well it works on a fresh tat. I can tell you that the smell isn't overwhelming, there is a very light "crisp/clean" aroma; ( could be the lavender?) In the tin the balm is firm but loosens up as you run your finger over it...(texture compared to chap stick, maybe). The color is a light green but rubs on clear. Did I notice anything while using this product? NO ITCHING! It relieved the itching immediately when applied. I wish I would have had this when I got the watercolor done on my back (vibrant colors) because that bad boy stung. I had no negative reactions and I have ridiculously sensitive skin. I'll definitely be using this for my next tattoos. Happy shopping!

LOVE this stuff!!! Better alternative to regular lotion.....works well for healing tattoos - I also use it for dry skin & chapped lips!!!
