What an excellent and durable new-age training device that can be used 24/7. Just pop in the battery and it's a nicely lit LED baseball to throw in the dark. DO NOT HIT WITH A BAT. Great for throwing at night in low-level light or even complete darkness. Complete darkness throwing takes a few minutes to start judging the ball correctly but once you figure that out it makes you hyper-focused. I also noticed it consistently made me catch with two hands. My kids and I threw some different pitches. Couldn't believe how seeing the spin with a lighted ball gave an instant visual if the ball came out the way you wanted it to. We believe that is going to come in really handy for working pitches. We also liked working ground balls and especially scooping balls and backhands. Again, the lighted ball is giving an incredible visual image of how the ball is reacting. Enables you to really understand ball movement and get better in a new cool and very effective way, in our opinion. I'm a Dad of 3 boys, High School Coach for 22 years & an Elite Travel team manager. I only endorse products I believe truly make better baseball players. Spark Catch is a product that can produce results but only when used on a consistent basis.

Bought this for my son and husband to play catch at night. Eye catching and fun to play with. The main drawback is the battery needs to be removed after play to turn it off. There isn't a way to turn the lights off with out taking the ball apart to get the battery out. If there was some sort of switch to turn it off, it would 5 stars for sure.It feels just like a baseball which is what lead me to buying this.

This was given as a Christmas gift and was a huge hit. My 7 year old son loved this gift and couldn’t wait to play with it. It is very good quality and the light is very bright. I do wish there was a way to turn the light feature on and off without having to remove the core and battery every time but that’s minor. Overall I am very pleased with this ball.

Looks and feels like a real ball. Lights up at night and can see it well and catch it....if you want to open the ball and put the battery back in every 30 seconds! Literally, first time using it, standing 15 feet away from my son, the battery pops out inside the ball every 4 or 5 throws turning the light out. When that happens, you have to go inside and get the coin to open it again and put the battery back in. I then kept the coin in my pocket in case i had to put it back in again, thinking it was going to be rare ...unfortunately, every couple of times catching the ball, the battery would pop out. Useless product.... i’ll try wrapping with some tape and see if we can still use this ball and update if that holds it together.

So, I made my kid watch field of dreams, and now every evening (well after dark now thanks to daylight savings) my son shows up with the ball already on. He pretends to cry and be teary-eyed, and says "Hey Dad".....(Dramatic pause)...... "Wanna have a catch???"Its hilarious EVERY time, and how do you say no to that!?!Seriously, this thing is awesome. Feels like a real ball. Soft leather. Tight seams. You can feel the holes for the light to shine through, so splitters and two seam fb's feel a little different but no big deal. Like some said, a little tricky to turn on and off, but you get the hang of it. After seeing me do it twice, my son can do it no problemo.One warning, I notice myself staring at the stars (Mars was bright last night) and in the dark the person throwing cant tell if you're looking or not, so I almost got pegged a couple times. Pay attention in the dark!Love this thing, will order more colors!

A lot of fun! Has held up well over hours of hard throwing. Kinda cool to play catch after dusk. The only downside is inserting/removing the battery to turn on/off is kind of fiddly. Feel is very close to regulation, just very slightly lighter/less dense. The leather is good quality and has held up well. Probably will buy another in different color. Good fun with grandkid.

My son is 20 and plays college baseball. I bought this just out of curiosity, he’s done long toss and it’s worked great. Obviously not every ball is caught, it’s hit the ground multiple times and it’s still working. I would recommend it, definitely fun to use. I threw it a few times and it’s just weird how bright and easy it is to catch. We have the blue LED and would purchase again.
