It has a tough body so can withstand some beating, but that doesn't mean that you keep it in your dog's house! It uses 2 alkaline rechargeable batteries which means that as long as you have these with you, you will have full use of the mixer even if you are filming on top of the mountain. I film wildlife and nature a lot, in some of Africa's harsh environments and this mixer is one of the babies I always carry along with me. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a portable mixer.
