Satisfying Faucet
We needed to replace a wall mounted faucet in a classic older kitchen and discovered that there were not a lot of choices. Most were either too industrial looking or lacked a satisfying feeling of quality. This American Standard faucet had the classic look we were seeking and good reviews, so we ordered it. We are very happy with our choice. It has a quality feel and looks appropriate for the kitchen. A huge improvement over our previous faucet. The only shortcomings were the instructions and some difficulty getting the faucet aligned properly when installed (the result of the imperfect alignment of the pipe nipples installed in our kitchen wall). Bottom line is it works well and looks good.

I really like the look
I really like the look of this faucet. I wanted something different but simple and attractive for my commercial sink. This faucet is what I was looking for. The sleek durable look reminds me of the faucets in the 1970’s. The handles are very easy to turn and seem like they will last. Due to my large sinks, I will be ordering an angled sprayer head attachment.

Good if you need a wall mount faucet
We have a 1940ties era house with the original tiled kitchen sink that requires a wall mount faucet. This model is to only one I've found that suits the style of the house and is reasonably attractive.Bought this to replace an identical one that was leaking and had reached the end of its useful life after perhaps 25 years. I had replaced the original valve cartridges once and was now periodically replacing the rubber O-rings that sit under the valve cartridge on the hot water side. The ceramic valves do not last forever - they are contained in fragile plastic housings and are expensive and hard to find when you need to replace them. Corrosion had also broken through the chrome on one of the wall escutcheons. There are O-rings in the spout swivel that will also need periodic replacement or the joint will drip when you run the water. The product arrived in good order but was delivered in its unsecured, part open wholesale box, so I'm guessing a local plumbing supply house just sent it around with their delivery driver on orders from Amazon (San Francisco Bay Area).I didn't try to see what American Standard would have done about the "Limited Lifetime Warranty on function and finish".

Broke after two years
I am shopping for another faucet. This one I put in about two years ago. Last week the stem just started leaking, I mean right through the metal, It must have been defective. The metal stem part just cracked without any abuse or trauma. I will replace it with another American Standard model because it was a real pain to connect the last one to my 70 year old pipes. I will just replace the front parts and hope this one doesn't fail.

Broken porcelain on taps
When we received this the porcelain taps had previously been broken and replaced with stainless steel. It didn't say anything about this in the description so we were very disappointed when it arrived. Amazon was very good about the refund but as we couldn't wait to fix our broken kitchen faucet any longer we ended up having to buy a different faucet which wasn't as nice from a local hardware store.

Great faucet
Good quality, perfect look for an antique farmhouse sink. Our plumber thought it was a bit tricky to install to our sink situation, but said it would have been easy to mount to a wall. But it is in, and is working great. The swivel arm is nice and the fixture has a heavy duty feel to it.

Ceramic handle glaze not durable, otherwise fine.
The ceramic handle glaze is not durable and is now damaged with routine use from my ring. Had this in my kitchen since about 2013 and had visible damage after 6 years . I only wear one ring on each hand, small band normal rings. For comparison my bathroom sink has had ceramic handles, similar style, and shows almost no wear after 45 years. (The bathroom ones were made by Sunrise Specialty.) Otherwise everything else has held up well and works nicely.

Very nice faucet, but quality control at the manufacture isn't up to par.
Very nice faucet. I like the design. It swings out much more than we thought it would. The porcelain handles are a nice classy touch. We chose this particular wall-mount faucet because of the poor design choices made by the previous owner. Anyways, I had to return 2 of these faucets to Amazon. #1 had a tiny pinhole, almost microscopic in size, just below the hot/left valve. At this price point that is simply unacceptable. Amazon, to their credit, accepted the return without hesitation. I ordered another one while #1 was in transit back to Amazon. When #2 arrived it had a few scuff marks on the chrome and a few wrench scratches on the big chrome nuts that hold it onto the wall. Faucet #2 was an obvious returned item that wasn't adequately checked out by the returns department. I didn't even attempt to install it. #2 was also sent back to Amazon, who accepted it without hesitation. (I wasn't going to try again, so I picked up another style locally and paid a plumber to change our faucet from a wall-mount to something more normal.) So to sum up - and to be perfectly honest - If you get one of these without a manufacturing defect AND one that wasn't damaged by a previous purchaser I think you'll like it. It did look pretty sharp.

Five Stars
Still holding strong despite the decrepitude of the plumbing in my house of horrors/money pit.

Happy the second time around
We ordered this faucet for the kitchen at our office. We chose it based on the look and required a long spout as we have a large sink. Unfortunately the first shipment of the faucet was damaged. The left handle had a broken piece and was unable to be installed correctly. We had to return it and received the replacement faucet the next day. We are extremely pleased with the replacement, all parts were in good order and installation was easy. It not only looks good, but also functions great.American Standard 7298252.002 8-Inch Heritage Wall-Mount Swivel Spout Kitchen Faucet with Porcelain Lever Handles, Chrome
