Good and cheap replacement

Flow the instructions cost in shop to do£25. Bought on Amazon for a 1/4 of the price and it works perfectly. Strongly recommend. Tools needed sharp knife to open the case and that’s it. Unreal and cheap as chips. Easy to replace ease of opening and closing and works.

This is a good quality replacement, but 'fit' wasn't 100% perfect and needed a small piece trimming off the inside to fit the circuit board. I also had to drift out the small pin and fit just the blade of the key rather than the blade and 'boss' it mounts on as the original is slightly different. that said it was fairly easy and key looked as good as new when done and worked perfectly too.

Moving the electrics and key blade over was easy enough. However the case just pops together with plastic tabs with NO screw(s) at all ... which means if you hang a dozen keys on a chain off the end when it's in the car ignition (loke I did), the weight causes the case to pop apart again !Which is a real pain as it means you are left with the blade in the igntion with everything else on the floor ...The solution is to glue the two halves together. Which worked fine - but when the battery dies I expect to destroy the case to get it open and will be buying another one :-(Next time I'll buy one with a screw holding it together ... I suggest you do the same (or avoid putting this on a key ring)

Don’t bother getting this as no one will program it due to it being Chinese crap and it causes too many future problems. Would have given it zero star if possible

The keys arrived on time. Very easy to take apart to replace the intervals. Took them to key cutter day after which was no problem. 2 new keys for less the £40 that's a win in my book.

It was fiddly to get done but I managed it in the end and it is a great result. Quite happy with this. I have now ordered a 2nd to do the spare key.Some points to note:- Make sure you get the right one, check with your existing one as there are some subtly different fobs.- Taking the old key apart can be a bit tough, well mine was, but it came apart in the end.- Take care when splitting the key fobs and bits come out, and you need them- YOU NEED TO SWAP THE KEY PART AND NEED A 1/16" PUNCH TO DO THAT (ore similar)- My key part did not line up exact with the hole for the pin, a hacksaw blade let me widen the slot on the lay part just enough to make it fit- When fitting the new fob together you will have to assemble the key bits and spring, and wind it up to create tension, this can be fiddle to do that and then fit the fob back together

The item itself appears to be quite good. BUT as it came without instruction I assumed I could take my existing Key to pieces and reverse engineer it into the new case and frame. However Vauxhall glued the original key together and it took me several hours to cut out the working parts and I couldn't then work out to reassemble the flip part of the key. Took several hours to get acceptable operation. A set of simple instruction would have saved a lot of problems. I am a qualified and experienced engineer, can only imagine how many less skilled people have just chucked it away.
