It seems everyone really liked this ring light except me. For starters I would extend the legs all the way out and it would always slide back down every single time. My phone would pop out of the phone holder almost all of the time and I have a iPhone 11 xs max with a thin clear case on it. And to top it off I connected my remote but it would never work!!!!!! I would connect it, then it would take maybe one picture, I would press it again and it wouldn’t work🙄🙄🙄 I wanted this to work so bad but it simply didn’t do it for me so I returned it.

I needed to improve my lighting for video conferencing. This product did the trick. It removed the shadows off of my face and made me much more visible. It has 3 different shades as well as 10 different levels in each shade so it has a total of 30 settings. I find the product to be lightweight and easy to move to different locations. I like the adjustments on the tripod so the light can be changed to different heights. The adjustment buttons work well and are easy to use. I have had the light for about 3 months now and everything is still working fine. I have even dropped the light a couple of times onto carpet and it still worked. The only thing that I don't like about the light is the tripod is a little bit flimsy. You have to make sure that it is securely tightened or it won't hold its position. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and would purchase another one.

Obviously, mine has been bought and returned before. Either that, or the manufacturer somehow managed to not include an instructions or directions with my set. Regardless, I have no idea how to set it up and am afraid I'll break it if I just try to make things work together when I don't know how they go together in the first place. Nothing is labeled or clear, so I am not even sure how to attach the phone grip to the pole, attach the light to the pole, make the remote work with my phone, or even how to open the legs.So, I'm having to return this item. I am REALLY disappointed to get a "new" item that has obviously been partially assembled (I have no idea how correctly or not) and lacks the promised instruction manual. Now I am extra-glad I let it sit for a week before I opened it, since there's a person in this household whose medical treatments involve purposefully suppressing their immune system and I have no idea if the people who had it before me were sick with anything. I am also glad I opened this box after they went to bed, so they weren't potentially exposed to whatever germs might be lingering inside the box from the last owner.

This purchase was made for a birthday event. We’re going to have this big cardboard cut out frames that act as a photo booth. I thought this would be cute for the party. Mean while I am searching for ways to look better on zoom calls with clients or videos made on “Soapbox.” I‘ve been working from home for over a year, and I mainly speak to clients over video chat. Recently, I spent a few days trying to find something to better my appearance. For the most part I always have my hair & makeup done (this is not the case in the example photos) with a professional top but im overweight and pale, so makeup can only get me so far. I thought, “why not try it out before the birthday event for an entire work day?” Boy am I happy I had that idea! I’m far less self conscious in good lighting which means more confidence when I talk to clients! It may seem like a vain purchase, and it is. But the world of sales is kinder to someone who is “deemed” attractive.

I bought this product to use when filming short videos for my business but I've found I actually use it more for video calls on Zoom and Skype. My computer does not have a very good built-in camera and I often look very grainy on Zoom. However, if I set this light up behind or next to my computer I get a lovely glow and the picture quality really improves. The light and remote are great. The tripod itself is also good but there is a bit of a learning curve to it. Rather than each part of the telescoping mechanism locking in place with a pin, you have to twist it firmly in a counter-clockwise direction. I didn't realize this at first and it kept falling down on me! Once I figured that out, though, it was fine and has been very nice to use ever since.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  You can return up to 30 days and my luck on day 31 I took pictures outside and it fell over onto my carport wall and broke the phone holder open and so I tried to put it back together but the spring popped off and fell into the grass and couldn’t find it. I had to put it together without the spring so now it’s loose and doesn’t hold the phone up. I’ve had issues with this stand falling over right away with any kind of breeze. The lighting was awesome but overall not worth it if it is going to keep falling over and then break the equipment on it like mine did. Also, the remote never worked for me and never connected to my iPhone 7 I figured I could set a timer on my phone but after the phone holder broke it was completely useless unless I take selfie’s but that is now what I needed it for.

Pros:The brightness levels/light reach are pretty good. The remote worked well. It compresses down nicely.Cons:This ring light was super flimsy when holding my iPhone. The three legs at the bottom always felt like they were going to break (two of them DID as of recent). While it compresses down nicely, to have it stand, you twist and extend the shaft one part at a time. You twist the section into place tightly so it stands on its own in place. The section that holds my phone - no matter how tight I tried within reason- would start untwisting and collapse back into the other shaft.Really awful quality and product. You can definitely find a much higher quality product at this same price range or a just a few $$ higher.
