Long lasting candle alternative
I used a medium size jar, filled it about 3/4 with water and added about 1/3 to 1/2 cup of vegetable oil. The floating flower didn’t stay in the middle of the jar, but a smaller diameter jar would work better for that if it matters to you. The great part? It burned 4 hours before I had to blow it out to go to bed! I relit it in the morning and it burned for another hour. Some reviewers said that the flower sank. Discloser: I only tried one so far.

Could be bigger.
The media could not be loaded. This was my second container The first one cracked because the wick worked itself out to the outside of the mason jar and crack the top so now we have it in a sugar bowl with lots of crystals supporting the flower floating wick to keep it in the middle. That's why I only gave it four stars it could be bigger also it's very tiny it does burn a long time though 4 hours so far.

They work great but start floating to the side of the container
Work great except wick floats to side

Many hours of light!
This is my first attempt with olive oil candles and these floating wicks have made it a huge success! Had it lit last night for at least 4 hours and have re-lit same wick this morning. It appears to be sinking and is resting on the rosemary sprig I added to the oil, but still burning nicely. Just so thrilled with these!

Make any container into a candle!
This is an awesome product which makes any container you choose into a candle by adding only a small amount, such as 1/4" or so, of vegetable oil (which of course, floats to the top of the water). I use clear glass containers because they reflect more light, but you can literally use any bowl, deep plate, vase, etc. to make a candle. With a small glass bowl and 1/4" of canola oil, I created candles which burned for 5-6 hours. I ended up giving my 2 boxes to my kids to keep as an emergency supply item (since you can never have too many candles in Iowa where storms are fairly frequent and strong), so I need to order more already. They are just wonderful, and I am going to make sure my kids and I all have several boxes. Order these--you will not regret it!

Floating candle wicks
Already reviewed these. Update: upon actually using these. They are really cute, they do NOT float. After a little while in the oil candle, they sink like a rock. Now trying to figure out some way to salvage this purchase.
