This is an update to my previous review. I was not offered anything to give a positive feedback but I feel like my initial review was somewhat limited. I know I had already given this product 5 stars, but believe me when I say that it deserves way more than the 5. Initially, my daughter required guidance when working with it but after a few gos she was challenging herself with even more complex tasks. In addition, I saw transference of skills from this learning tool to real life situations. She demands her independence, demonstrates a greater aptitude for following instructions, fixes toys and whatnot when they come apart, works independently with coloring, writing and even phonics. She is spending more time watching engineering and science videos rather than those for the mere purpose of entertainment. She is more observant and asks many meaningful questions like how, why, for what reason, why this and not that, or mama don't you think we could try it this way. When you purchase this product, I implore you not to underestimate the places it could take your child's developing mind.I fell in love with the pattern blocks the moment I saw them. Knowing how much my little one loves puzzles it seemed like a giftable item. She just loves it. We'd spend hours making animals as suggested. I can already see she appreciates the challenge some may pose and just a few days in, has begun to challenge herself to see what she could create without the prompt of a picture card.This is ideal for develping eye-hand coordination, mastery of colors and shapes, engineering and problem solving skills.Only draw back is that one of the black round pieces is as thin as craft paper but I suppose I'll just find something to substitute.

My 3-year old puzzler loves this puzzle. Pieces are nice (except the green ones look more like teal and don't match the card). Myriad of ways to use: initially, the adult can find the required pieces (one side of the card) and then help the child make the picture (other side of the card). Later child can find pieces h/herself or even make the puzzle using the completed picture, finding the required pieces based on the final result. There are so many ways to use these cards and puzzles, not to mention using the pieces to invent entirely new pictures (PS they also provide a great opportunity to introduce shapes, attributes, and basic symmetry).

Purchased this item for my 3 year old, and he enjoys playing with it. The puzzle cards vary in topic and difficulty, but also encourages open ended creativity. The puzzle pieces are sturdy, and just the right quantity that a parent wouldn’t feel overwhelmed seeing it scattered on a table. Love the separate tin containers that serve as compact storage for the cards and puzzles. All these make for a perfect gift. Highly recommend!

I teach 5 & 6 year olds and whenever they have the option, someone chooses this toy to play with. I like that there are cards with it to help them replicate the picture and it also gives them ideas for what they can make on their own. Perfect learning based toy. Love it.

This is a wonderful game for my five year old. I was worried at first it might be a little young for him, but it was just right. The attention to detail to create each puzzle is just what he needs. The pieces are durable colored wood.

I bought this as a present for my two year old grandchild. He loves to make the caterpillar, ladybug, helicopter and many other. He also uses his imagination to build his magical animals. He loves it! Great present for the whole family
