The media could not be loaded.  This product is not child safe in my opinion. The safety shutters are not locked i.e. they only open when the earth pin is pushed in. The shutters can be opened by simply inserting something into the live or neutral holes. Apart from this the product is good quality. I will be returning due to the safety issue.

I plugged in my IPad and it the extension lead overheated to the extent I discontinued using it. Please advise about returning this item to Amazon and issuing me with a refund.

Well I was liking this as was very neat and I then had my iPad and phone charging in the USB ports and was making a noise then I touched connections and they were red hot so was the charger so I unplugged it all as worried that was going to catch light as it as very very hot to touch looks like I wasted my money on this unfortunately

This thing is great.• It looks good.• It's lightweight, but feels strong. I've had it for a while and it's durable.• The cable is a nice thick, strong cable.• It's just incredible useful to have 4 plugs and 3 USB sockets right there. I use it to charge my phone, or to power USB peripherals that I have plugged into a synthesizer (such as a midi-clock that is powered by USB).Basically, if you need plugs and some handy USB sockets for charging or power, you will not be going wrong with this.

I've been upgrading my home with various smart appliances and quality of life improving devices, and the USB ports on this extension strip are a godsend.Initially I bought one of these for the plug socket next to my bedside table. There's a lamp, an Echo Show and a fan on there, along with a Robo vac underneath, so I needed extra plugs. This did the job as you would expect, however the USB sockets were an afterthought for me, until I started to use them.I bought three interchangeable 5 foot USB C/micro cables and a cable tidy for the table, and now I wouldn't go back. The convenience of having three cables immediately available at bedtime is great, as I'm the kind of person that gets into bed then realises that all my devices need charging and I can only find one charger!Now I've bought another four of these for the kitchen, living room and office, and it's great being able to charge my stuff anywhere.

Pros:Looks good and is a useful compact size for extending a socket. The plug/USB combination is helpful, especially when providing charging points to desk (in my case). The dedicated on/off switch is useful.Cons: The quality of build is average, plastic casing couldn't take much pressure (say if you pushed furniture up against it), certainly not as tough as those familiar old skool white extension sockets.One of the USB sockets has failed after a few weeks use.
