British tea drinker approved!
Reviewing: Mueller Ultra Kettle: Model No. M99S 1500W Electric Kettle with SpeedBoil Tech, 1.8 Liter Cordless with LED Light, Borosilicate Glass, Auto Shut-Off and Boil-Dry Protection:You can purchase this kettle with confidence. I had the same model until very recently, and it worked reliably for nearly 8 years. It was still boiling water perfectly when I decided to replace it, but the pop-up part of the lid was sticking occasionally and no longer opening and closing as well as it used to. We use a kettle at least 8 times per day (multi-person household, drinking a lot of coffee and tea), and if a kettle can last us for 8 years and still be working, then it’s a good kettle. Here I am, having just purchased the same kettle as before, so (not surprisingly), I’m happy with the new kettle too. Too many kettles have a small capacity. This one boils a good quantity of water, which means that if I’m cooking pasta, I can boil the water in the kettle first, then add it to the pan of pasta, without having to boil the kettle twice. It will also boil enough water for 4 large mugs of coffee. All electric kettles in the USA take a while to boil, but this is as quick as any I’ve tried. The blue color is cheerful and bright on cold winter mornings, and the big advantage of a kettle like this is that it has an auto-shut-off. You can fill the kettle with water, flick the switch, walk away and do other things… then when the water’s boiled, the kettle will “ping” to let you know, and it will shut itself off. You never need to worry that the water will boil over, or melt a pan, or flood your kitchen, or anything like that.I’m an English person, so I know about kettles. For anyone not familiar with electric kettles, this doesn’t go on your stove. There’s a base that plugs into a wall (and has a nice, long cord), then the kettle sits on top of the base while it heats the water. It can safely be left on the base all the time, because unless you’ve flipped the switch to turn it on, the water won’t be heating.Caution: People have asked me if a kettle like this can be used to cook pasta in, or heat soup. The answer is no. It’s just for water. This is a good, reliable kettle, and it's excellent value for the price. You'll love it.

Perfect purchase for my afternoon tea!
Kettle works great! I purchased this about four months ago and wanted to wait to review it to make sure it was working as described. I use this daily for my tea. Water quickly comes to a boil and has an automatic shut off once it dies. Sits perfectly on my countertop and looks good. I like the blue light when it’s on. I was concerned because some people have complained about the push button top. But I find if you touch the top and pull your finger back as you’re touching it. It opens every time. It seems to stick when you just push straight down. Has not given me any problems at all. Very happy with my purchase.

Still boiling strong after 5 years
We first purchased this kettle in 2020, and it’s served us beautifully for five years of daily use! Even after we accidentally damaged the lid (totally our fault), it continued to function like a champ. We just reordered the exact same model and were amazed to realize it had been five years since our original purchase. That kind of reliability is rare, we highly recommend it!

Mueller Living glass kettle
Oh my gosh, I love this kettle! I have been looking for a healthier alternative for weeks & weeks to my coffee pot & I found it.The Mueller Living kettle is the perfect choice in every way! The kettle fits perfectly on the base & lifts offso smoothly. A full pot is boiling in 6 minutes & shuts off when it’s reached boiling point. The kettle lights up blue while on & shuts on when done. It cleans up beautifully & can be put away after each use or not it seems to be well made & the directions are precise & a must read.. I use the kettle with a pour over coffee drip I also purchased on Amazon & the 2 together are the perfect pair! Thanks Mueller for a such a wonderful kettle!!

Since 2022 I’ve used several of these Mueller kettles.
I would have given this Mueller Tea Kettle 5 stars provided the top did not get stuck when opening it to fill and if the device lasted more than one season. It’s one of the best devices I could find after extensive research of electric tea kettles. I had bough about 4 of them in the past three years costing from $25-$35 a device. It goes up in price consistently --wishing our pay checks do the same. A more minor issue is that I like to boil certain herbs/teas in the kettle yet it clogs the screen, preventing water to flow out when pouring. I had to clean the unit well along with extensive scraping of the screen, as small pieces get stuck almost permanently near the spout; therefore, I stopped brewing inside there and used the kettle only for boiling water instead (until the defective top stopped opening. The kettle will make an interesting terrarium if you like hobbies. I’ll need a new device now and I’m searching for the best one with the best price, yet have not come up with one yet. Meanwhile, I’m back to using a plain glass and stainless steel kettle on my stovetop for now. Maybe the old fashion way is best as I’ve had these kettles for many years and they still look fabulous, and I paid practically the same amount for them.
