Good coconut milk, without anything added. Specifically bought this brand bc it didn’t have the guar gum that most have. Good consistency and great taste.

Years ago I used a grocery store's brand of coconut milk in my smoothie everyday because it was the only brand I could find that did not have guar gum (I can't stand that taste). Eventually, they quit carrying that brand of coconut milk. After trying the alternatives, all of which had guar gum, I was very disappointed and began using cartoned almond milk, but I also was not happy with cartoned almond milk because it contains soy and some other ingredients I don't want, and it doesn't have the high fat content of canned coconut milk.Eventually, I had the idea to look for a guar-gum-free canned coconut milk on Amazon and found this. I just opened my second can and it is exactly what I was looking for. It has a great taste (no guar gum), creamy consistency, high fat content, and only two ingredients - coconut extract and water.I will definitely be ordering this again. Highly recommend.

In the past, I have had to re-warm this coconut milk in order to get the fat mixed back in with the more liquid part. The first can in this batch is amazing. Even after being refrigerated, the fat stays mixed in pretty well. I am really enjoying this batch. I hope all the cans are like this. The one complaint I have had in the past is that the product is not consistent. The fat is hard in the can, without refrigeration, I have to warm it up to get the fat mixed in. Then, when I refrigerate it, the fat separates and is hard, not soft. I don't know what they did to it this time. I see no difference in the ingredients. The label says no guar gum has been added. The ingredients are: organic coconut extract and purified water..

This brand changes their formulation frequently; the product is very inconsistent in taste, composition, and quality. Most recently, each can consists of perhaps 20% coconut oil. It definitely separates between a chalky white liquid and solid coconut oil (not coconut extract). This indicates more purity than when it was creamy (an indication of unreported guar) and I happen to prefer coconut oil to additives, but actual coconut extract would be better. If I wanted coconut oil, it is easily obtained on its own. As it stands, this “milk” is very oily. However, I do NOT react to it and from its appearance, I believe that the ingredients are clean and that there is indeed CURRENTLY no guar as the label states. Pleasant taste and texture in coconut milk is a luxury when you have sensitivity to additives, so I will continue to buy this brand, at least for now.

Update 09/14/20: Just bought a case and almost all of the cans were very dented. I opened 2 of the cans and they were gritty/oily and smelled like sulfur! Completely bad. I returned the case and won’t buy this product again.I have just purchased one case, but this was the best coconut milk I have ever bought. It has so much thick cream and tastes delicious. Like all natural coconut milk, it isn’t smooth and pretty, but it makes it up in flavor. None of my cans were dented. I will be stocking up with this brand.Chocolate Pudding Recipe: Melt 5 ounces dark chocolate in one can’s worth coconut milk in the microwave. Mix well and pour into a bowl and put in the fridge. This makes the most luscious pudding. Add vanilla, almond extract, toasted coconut, or coffee for additional flavor. Rich and creamy and so easy!

Excellent product will continue to order going forward

I have a subscription for this coconut milk because I like the convenience of delivery for this item, and it has good flavor and complements the other ingredients in my smoothies. While it isn’t inexpensive, it is close in price to what I have found in local grocery stores, and if I can have it delivered, even better.
