This is great. It uses a screw system to lock into the vent instead of springs and holds very tight.The ball head on the back stays a bit loose, so you will have to readjust the angle on it pretty often, but that's just the nature of a plastic ball head. You can try to tighten it, but it isn't really worth it.The arms lock in on the sides and hold the phone very tight and the release button is easy to push when I grab my phone to leave the car.I use a phone holder the most when I'm doing delivery driving, so I am putting my phone in and taking it out quite frequently and it is holding up well so far.I have not used the CD slot holder, so I can't speak to that.

Finally a decent mount that works well for my phone and my car. Doesn't fall off. Can adjust and rotate to what I need. Tactical so it's sturdy. A little expensive but quite often you pay for what you're getting. The warranty is good

This phone holder is sturdy, attractive and works great. We had originally bought the version that doesn't include the CD adapter. While it works perfectly in our car the clip isn't deep enough for vents that are deep like Chevy Silverado or CDL tractors This version has two mounting options. There is no damage to the CD player. While it does take the CD player out of action it allows commercial vehicles to mount their phone. My husband is a CDL driver and has bought several holders over the years that quickly broke or didn't hold the phone securely. He has been out there bouncing around and the holder is hanging tight. When we had an issue with the vent only mount, VICSEED quickly reached out to us to make things right. I can highly recommend this company and package. If you're in doubt give this version a try and one or the other will work. Not many reviews mention vertical vents, happy to report it works but make sure your vents are not more than an inch deep. Install and assembly is easy just snap in the ball prior to install and either clip into vent or insert CD and tighten wing nut and it's done.

However, the CD slot holder component fell short of my expectations. It struggles to fit properly within the CD slot, which lead me to not trust that it will hold the phone securely in place. This aspect of the design certainly requires refinement to meet the same standard of utility and reliability as the vent air clip. Overall, while the product demonstrates potential, the CD slot holder's performance is a letdown that needs to be addressed for a better user experience.

The previous phone holder I had uses a suction cup to attach itself to the windshield which tends to fall from time to time and the windshield is kinda too far for me to be able to see things clearly, so I really needed a different holder that is both stable and closer to me. I bought this last week after some research, and am pretty happy with it. It was put in the car the day it arrived, both air vent and CD slot were tested, it handles the job very well either way, and it does not block my view and is out of way of everything. It looks like the whole mount was made of very good quality plastic and some metal parts, I believe it will last for a long time. It is very easy to adjust to any angle and the phone stays in the holder very securely and snuggly. I have several phones of different sizes, and the mount holds well each of them, and it is so simple to mount or dismount the phone - just press a button on the side of the holder, and squeeze the two sides of it. The installation instruction was written pretty clear too. I am very happy with my purchase and will update later.
