BETAFPV A01 VTX 5.8GHz 40CH 0/25/200mW Switchable VTX Raceband NTSC/PAL RG178 Antenna for FPV Racing Drone Micro Quadcopter

This new VTX is small. light and works well... It has 25mw & 200mw. Flying around my home requires the 200mw setting to penetrate the home and trees... I bought this VTX to replace one that burned up in the BetaFPV 85 Pro 2. However Race Day Quads replaced this older version with the new one that has the VTX built into the flight controller. I have use this new VTX on two other quads and they both perform amazingly. Plus you can't beat the price, so this is one of the best VTX investments I have made in a long time... I would recommend this VTX to all whoop & toothpick builders. Light - powerful - affordable!

Tough soldering, but works great once connections are solid and not bridged. Perfect replacement on my BetaFPV 75x.

I used this vtx twice on two tiny whoops. Since the unit comes without a camera, I attached my own camera’s. Be aware that there are three wires that need to be attached from the camera to the vtx, specifically the Video, positive and negative wires. I found the soldering pads were extremely small and set very close together. As a result, soldering the wires was very difficult and took some patience. So I would say if you have poor soldering skills, I would opt to purchase the vtx with the camera already attached. They are available as a single unit.I also found that the vtx setting cannot be adjusted manually and only using smart audio. Smart audio is where you set and change frequencies and power using your transmitter and googles. Additionally,, you must configure the smart audio via Betaflight if you are running an older 4.1.x firmware on your flight controller. In both cases, mine was an older version and I had to download firmware from the manufactures website and install it via Betaflight for the smart audio to work.So to sum it up, it’s a a good vtx and provides excellent range, however frequencies and power cannot be adjusted manually, it is not a simple process to connect the camera and configuring it for using the smart audio may require extra steps using Betaflight to install firmware.

Bought 2 of these to replace 1 that already died and 1 as spare, at least the old one lasted more than 3 weeks. They work fine for a while then starts to flicker and lost video at 10-15 feet range. The first one lasted for 8-9 months no problems. Use it on my second beta85 pro that I bought in another store (not amazon). Started flickering then same problem. I got this thru amazon because of prime on july 6 and already both of them are acting exactly like the one that it was defective, I have 3 VTX THAT DON'T WORK. I don't know why these products have low quality or bad components. I am a big fan and supporter of the FPV hobby and BETAFPV products but this is the 3rd time that the same product failed in the same manner. Not Happy.

Bought to fit a Betafpv canopy and the fit was fine, but the connector was too loose to even keep the device reliably powered on the bench, much less in flight. Had to use solder pads. Reception is good at 25mW and it is nice that the antenna comes already attached (and sort of secured) to the board. Soldering was difficult as the connector port is very close to the pads and the pads are very close to each other. Wiring diagram was accurate for the one I received.
